Why do all the Netflix movies seem like let downs?

Know what you mean. I'm excited about the bonnie and clyde one coming out in a few weeks, but holding my breath.

There's a reason why a movie with this cast wasn't theatrically released.

They all seem half-assed. Every character's arc in this particular film was all over the place

Went in with mild expectations and was still disappointed. Extremely mediocre and even bad in some places, especially the writing/dialogue

They don’t all suck. If you are looking for something to make up for how “meh” this film was. I highly recommend watching “Caliber”.

Actually, this specific film was.

Not to mention that the writers either have the problem solving abilities of 13 year olds,

You mean like having a helicopter and not thinking to bring half the money on the first trip and come back for the rest in 30 mins??? Especially if it was that one ridge they had to worry about.

I think they spelled it with -re, but I can definitely say that one was pretty damned good.

I thought it was ok, but the writers could have used a technical advisor or someone to say, that’s pretty dumb, they’d be really stupid to do it that way, most trained spec ops guys would do it this way.

Also, would have been more interesting if there had been some more chase type stuff as they tried to get away.

Also, Spoilers, sorry if this isn’t the thread, but

why would you try and carry out all that dead weight vs carrying out money? I get the reasons, but wouldn’t it have been better for everyone to just carry money? That conflict would have been good for the movie too.

Man, this movie was a meh sandwich with mehyonnaise and bustard.

Predictable, and the action just wasn't there for me. The plot had potential, but I was let down.

Never directed a movie or anything, but give me a half hour with this general plot and cast, and I could have done better.

Clearly the mother of that kid in the soccer shirt wasn’t named Martha.

Didn't hate it. Not memorable. Easy watch. I have a feeling Netflix may try to build this into a trilogy similar to Sicario.

SPOILER:

why didn't they just hide the money and do two pickups with the helicopter? Or put more in the prop plane? Seemed like they were cool with the pilot who brought the helicopter.

I recommend Polar. wasnt bad as far as netflix movies go.

i had high hopes for triple frontier but its a big letdown considering the cast they put together. this director sucks in particular. a most violent year was shite. the robert redford boat movie was hard to frick up given it had no dialogue.
