why did they wait that long to introduce good, interestong storylines? i imagine the majority of the show tonight had some people turning the channel.

damn, people...even if i hated the show, i would at least pretend like i liked it. i would think that people in south louisiana would hope that this show would get some success just so people can start touring the city for the holes in the walls featured on the show.

my wife and i both mentioned that we consumed quite a few slices of pizza where baptiste was standing outside of pat o's.

i'll keep watching.

His character was A LOT more likeable this week.

i didn't mean that, but it's hard to keep interest in a show without good storylines/plots/characters, etc. showing gigs for most of the show won't cut it to most of the audience, especially those who don't give a shite about nola music.

Can we give this show at least a 3rd episode before we cancel it?

I have to agree there seems to be a shite load of gigs in an one hour episode.

BUT, it did feel like its finally moving so let's hope there's a great payoff.

It'll be fine. HBO has already oredered a second season.

And for the 'tards talking about Bullets, no show whether The Wire or whatever is 100% literal or accurate. It's a tv drama, and the purpose is to convey story and the essence of a city . . . not every specific detail accurately.

So far, not impressed. David Simon and The Corner and The Wire are the main reasons I am giving it a watch besides the fact that it's set in NOLA.

Some silly references at times in the show...again, it is impossible to make a show in NOLA and not overdo it with the inevitable cliched Bourbon Street, jazz, etc.

his shows are slow-paced, typically

i'm still waiting a few more eps...i'd say he established some storylines, but i don't know how interesting they are

*SPOILER*

i'm not interested in whether he tries to finish his book or if they find the prisoner.

the 2 musicians are almost the same story

the restaurant story is boring now, but i think/hope it will unfold

eh

they pretty much mock bourbon. so that's not cliched

now the mockery coming from the "enlightened" artists? that is cliche
