The original with John Savage is an underrated film. Saw it in the theater.

My first thought was oh no, another remake.
Looks like this takes things in a different direction and I wouldn't be shocked that it will end with the people in charge being responsible for the terrorism.
Drive was nothing more than a remake of Thief but it was well done. This could be good.

I watched the trailer the other day. It's really stupid looking.

Solid cast, definitely worth a watch.
I know he's been around the block for awhile now, but he's been really solid lately

Looks great.
Tarantino wanted "Larry" Fishburn for Jules.
I think he might have been better.
And if I think through the roles of Jackson, particularly the ones where he's so over the top, I think Fishburn would have been better more often than not:
Star Wars: Yes
Marvel: Yes
Django: Yes
Pulp Fiction: Maybe. Maybe not.
Just a nice "sliding window" thought of how their two careers might have been very different if he'd only taken Pulp Fiction.
