Not interested in yet another last Jedi thread. I hate the movie and I think it’s bad on every level

You don’t, that’s cool

Oh no. I think it’s bad too. 100% in your camp. Dunno if I’d put it in bottom10 of last 10 years. I just appreciate your fervor.

I could make a great argument

Honestly there’s so many pieces of shite I could at least say “it makes sense” or where I don’t question motivation constantly or where the structure and pacing are competent. Something. This has one good scene between 2 people, a cool fight, and the score is pretty good. So five minutes of a 2 hour and 40 minute movie

No shite, for me, the best part was when it was over

I didn’t think Bridesmaids or That’s My Boy were all that bad. And I didn’t mind Paul Blart but I’m fairly easy.

Good list though

I just watched Housebound thanks to your post. That was pretty fun.

Thank you for mentioning

I really enjoyed a couple of newer movies lately. Captain Fantastic and The Hunt for the Wilderbeast (another kiwi movie.)

How was this bad?

It's great. It's so rewatchable. And Russo is back as an aging sex-pot trying to cash in.

THat movie is going to have a long shelf-life.

Their melts about it are some of the best about anything on the entire site.

Then, you see Blade Runner 2049 at the top of their favorites...

It fits perfectly in the old Saturday afternoon movie guilty pleasure and have to stop fixing the storm drain to watch.

I've watched it like 5 times on Netflix and I don't even like the movie that much.

But it's just got this Shawshank-esque rewatchability. We know everything that is going to happen but it never gets old.

Acting is great.

Nightcrawler is just a lot of good things in thrillers, good old fashioned gore, crime, leading actors that we don't know where they are coming from...just creepiness all around, tension, uncertainty, strangeness, fear, distrust among the two main characters...

Nightcrawler is the best example of a modern Noir I can think of.

Nightcrawler isnt one of the worst movies of the last 10 years...it's one of the best...

And severly underrated.
