How about the fact that the "MIG" was actually a American Northrop F-5?? Never got past that.

Or the 10,000 hard -deck was lower than a couple of mountain tops?
Or they only had what, 2 planes in the air when the only working catapult broke.

I watched this last night and was thinking the same exact thing. What might have been worse was Viper telling Mav to let goose go IMMEDIATELY after he died. At least, roughly, two weeks passed before the bar encounter with Charlie.
Also, Goose's son gets the shaft. No one, including his mom, seems to care about him. He just sits there alone.

Top Gun sequel with Tom Cruise as Viper!
Who would be the new Tom Cruise? Zac Efron?

Yes with Robert Pattenson as Iceman

You must love homo erotica, to.
Nah, but I'm not a homophobe. Seeing glistening, sweaty men playing volleyball with their muscles all out (Rick Russovich, hello!!!) doesn't bother me.
Top Gun is all kinds of manly; it just happens to have a little something something for the ladies too.

Made me think she was sleeping with him too. Why else would he casually call her like that?
Exactly. He's all like "Hey, it's Wolfman..." like they talk all the time and she knows him like that. That scene has never sat well with me.

Not to mention he's going to have to go back in the air with fricking Tim Robbins replacing Goose. I'd have quit too. Notice he completely fricking ignores everything Robbins says.
Worse than Merlin was fricking Sundown pissing and moaning every time he thinks Mav should engage. Mav will fire when he is goddamn good and ready. You got that?
It's like they kept giving him shitty reels to see how he handled it. He could've called his boy Cougar...Lord knows he was capable and could've used some redemption.

Nah, cuz irrelevant details like that don't bother me. I couldn't see it anyway...because I was inverted. :doesinvertedhandmove:

I know. Can't wait either. Not because of the 3D (which I think won't help it at all), but because I never saw Top Gun in theaters.

I had the choice of seeing top gun or the three amigos in theaters when I was a kid. I chose three amigos. It was the right decision.

This can't be legit.

Don't get your hopes up. I went to go see the Lion King when it was in theaters and there was no surround sound. Only the speakers in the front worked. Very disappointed.

It is legit. News has been out for awhile.
I'm sooooo pumped.
Volleyball scene in 3D.....I'm gonna leave a mark on that theatre seat.

And two, Charlie is sitting there bitching at Mav for leaving, and also not saying goodbye. Then she gives him an earfull of shite about it. Hey, Charlie, dude's BEST FRIEND just died, and he feels partly responsible for it. Cut him some fricking slack. Besides, if he wanted your help...REALLY...he would've asked for it. Back the frick off.
This is TOP GUN, not the damn girl scouts. When Viper was losing his buddies in VF-51, you think he was asking for slack?

I cannot wait to see this at the movies.
