Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), $309 million
Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), $290 million
Batman (1989), $251 million
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), $245 million
Ghostbusters (1984), $238 million

Back to the Future (1985), $210 million
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), $197 million
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), $179 million
I ran across this list while looking for something else. Show me a better grouping of 10 awesome movies from one decade! I dare you!

Seems unreal making that much in the early 80's.

Never was a fan of ET and scared me as a child
. And I never understood why everyone raved so much about it. Fricking Spielburg has to have aliens in all of movies, especially nowadays. He RUINED the 4th Indiana Jones by even including that BS. It's as if he's an alien himself or a closeted Scientologist.
