It's not strange. It is a different sort of movie. Clooney was good in it.

Why do you hate Clooney. Dude bought his own spy satellite to spy on warlords and warn people. That's putting your money where your mouth is.

Just saw this one. I thought it was great, a very fun movie. One of the best child actress performances.

This is squarely on the horrible marketing. There werent many tv previews for what a tent pole budget film normally gets and what few there were pretty much told us nothing about the plot. This is John Carter all over again.

Bingo, and John Carter deserved a sequel.

I'm kind of surprised. Seemed perfect for baby boomers.

I'm mid 30s and want to see it but it's not worth paying 10 to see when it will be on video by the end of summer.

I was disappointed with the movie largely because I was expecting something a bit different. Rather than allowing the audience to enjoy the imaginings of Tomorrowland they decided another hollywood preach fest would be preferable.

Minor spoilers:

Hugh Laurie and Raffey Cassidy were both excellent although Laurie's character did not deserve the ending he received IMO. Clooney was ok but Britt Robertson was less than serviceable in her role.

I love how they call it a flop when it's only been out a month. After international box office numbers plus red box and dvd sales it will show a profit

I've heard that it's a decent movie.

I agree with the idea that Disney no care.

They have TWO Pixar movies and Star Wars coming out. I'm sure they will be fine.

I have posted about this in separate threads. It's a fricking crime that sentences good movies to "bomb" status.

With international box office it's still 17 mil below it's production cost. Add in 150 in marketing and they're going need a lot of red box and DVD sales.

Yeah I watch television and movies and Im not completely sure Ive heard of this movie. Jurrasic World is a movie I would believe has spent two or three hundred million in marketing.

Hollywood preach fest

Yup. And I can seperate films & performances I love from the actor's politics - but there's a point when people get tired of these guys up on a cross and just want to be entertained for a couple hours.

Don't know where you are getting "preach fest" from. If anything, it takes some nice shots at the doom and gloom preachers.
