Just like if there was a Jimmy Stewart biopic or a remake of a Jimmy Steward classic movie... who else could play that role?
Tom Hanks is just that sort of decent, but can play flawed, actor that we want to see in these roles. He's bit bigger then Rogers, but I think he can pull the role off.

Looks like Toms Hanks coplaying as Mr. Rogers.
I love Hanks, but I can't imagine there will be one second of this movie where I'll forget I'm watching Tom Hanks and think I'm watching Fred Rogers.
But hey...it'll probably be good. Just kind of wish there was some unknown that could slide into that role without their own fame being too much to look past.

Is it because Tom hanks is too famous to be “anonymous”, or because mr Rogers was a real person and we all know what he should look like?
