I took all of that anger coming from him not being able to talk to Kim. He got the run around.

It has to be a more solid motive than Kim wouldn’t talk to him and now he just doesn’t give a shite.

Agreed. It's something like:

Kim re-married. Or:

Kim has been arrested (They traced her call to Francesca, and have found Lalo and Howard's bodies).

I might have missed it, but did they say how Saul had money under the rock for Francesca? Or was just assumed it was always there?

Something to possibly chew on- Cancer dude died of an OD due to the barbiturates interacting with the chemo drugs and booze.

A Doc around that might have an idea how those would mix?

When Saul asks if the rats had gotten it it implies that it was always there.

I read an interview with wither the writer or director of the episode about Saul's actions. He said that we don't know what was said on the phone...he doesn't say we'll never know (didn't bring that up at all) but the point is it upset Jimmy. And when Jimmy is upset and/or feeling down he falls back into Slippin' Jimmy to feel better. It's his drug to cope with life.

It sounds like at first the cons were only something to do to feel better. I thought he had plenty of money in diamonds but maybe not. I'm curious if he has a master plan at this point or if he just doesn't care anymore.

I'm thinking next week we get a big update on Kim and what she's been up to along with whatever happened on the phone call. But I thought Jeff and Carol Burnett were going to be one and dones and they're still there and now it looks likely she's close to figuring out something's up with Gene.

so they just happen to find the hidden meth lab then just happen to pull up all the concrete flooring and dig an extra 6 feet and find their bodies?

I don't think they can find the bodies because is anyone still alive that even knows where they were buried? Mike wouldn't have told Kim that info.

I do think there is something to Kim either being caught by the feds/going to them to talk. Even if she admits to what really happened with Lalo/Howard, can her/Saul really get in any legal trouble? I guess they've made official statements to the authorities about being the last ones to see Howard alive, so going back on that could have consequences.

I'd like to see next weeks "water works" episode focused on Kim in FL & maybe something like this could develop.

Also, there is something to showing Bill Oakley. Is he the one to put away Saul or would he help defend the charges?

The assistant still having her phone tapped and being monitored will have to come into play at some point, even maybe with Kim.

Also, now that we are talking about this...

What happened to the lab after Gus dies in BB? I don't remember, but do we ever see anything else with it? Gus is dead, Walt is eventually dead. Surely the workers at the laundry plant thing notice people coming in and out of the hidden entranceway. Seems to reason that at some point it would have to be discovered.

Am I just missing something from BB that I can't remember?

I think it's on the same day Gus dies, btu walt and jesse go down there and spread a bubch of chemicals and light it. They leave through the laundromat and pull the fire alarm as you can see smoke coming up from the hidden entrance. I guess it's assumed that it was destroyed.

Yes, the DEA discovers the lab after the fire & is investigating. They see where a camera was installed & I think they eventually talked to Jesse about it. Not sure where it gets left off from there.

It's not totally out of the question that they discover Howard's body & go to Kim for questioning.

I've been thinking about Kim from the FBI/DEA perspective in the show. From what they would know, she was married to Jimmy and left right around the time he started working with the cartel. If she has had no or limited contact with Jimmy since then, they would assume she left him because he started working with dangerous people, she would have been out of the picture 4 years before the events of Walter White, and they would just consider her a footnote in Jimmy's past history. IOW, I can't see them wasting budget on surveilling her.

I suppose it really depends on just how much contact she and Jimmy had over those last 4 years. The way they have portrayed it, it looks like maybe small talk on holidays but very little beyond that, if even that.

I feel like it has to be something significant like this and not just Kim wouldn't talk, has moved on, etc. I mean when your wife walks out, gives up her career, moves across the country because someone was murdered in you living room, and obviously had no contact (and he didn't even ask about her) hopes of reconciliation are a bit much.

It seems unlikely, but after Hank and Gomey disappear, maybe they take new interest in the lab location. When the investigation turns into the murder of two DEA agents, they would start looking everywhere.

Someone on Reddit transcribed the English translation of the German dub of the Kim pay phone conversation

Spoilers

English translation: (The beginning is inaudible…but it’s mid-sentence and he is already upset about what Kim must have said): “(…) you have no idea what I did or didn't do, okay? Why don't YOU turn yourself in, you don't have to be considerate of me, I can only be hanged ONCE. Okay, look, Kim, why are we even talking about this. We're both too smart...”

I have a feeling we will hear Kim,s side of the conversation the way they revealed Nacho's call to Mike earlier this season.

I don't think Mike or Gus dug the grave...probably had lackeys dig the hole. The lackeys could still be alive after the lab fire, get picked up by the feds and offer to talk

ETA: nevermind. I forgot there was the heavy equipment down there...Mike could have used it to dig the hole

Word, I figured something like that happened and I just didn't remember it.
