How can Saul not think Lalo is dead now? Kim kept the fact he was still alive from him because she thought it would cause him to flee. But he just goes about his day thinking Lalo is still out there?
I doubt he would normally think Lalo is alive. But, when told to kneel in front of a hole with a gun at the back of his head, I can understand why the first thought in his head would be Lalo. Rational thought probably would be difficult given what he had seen, even if it had been 3+ years. Imagine the number of nightmares he would have had reliving Howard's execution.
It's actually pretty brilliant that they set it up that way.

But doesn't Mike explicitly tell them Lalo is dead? Or am i misremembering?
Posted on 7/21/22 at 10:35 am to rebelrouser
I remember the first time after the compound raid mike told them (I think? he told someone) that lalo "isn't coming back". But obviously he wasn't dead and that wasn't correct. I can't remember if he explicitly told jimmy/kim in the apartment if he was dead or if he wans't coming back

I believe he reiterated that Lalo isn't coming back, never said he was dead. So I guess it's plausible for Saul to think of him a few years later.

I thought the line was "are you nachos or lalos people?"

It wasn’t me it was Ignacio!
I’m a friend of the cartel (in Spanish).
Lalo didn’t send you?!?

Could also just be that he thinks Lalo told someone if you don't here from me go to this guy, even if he's already dead

That would be me. Registrations/tags expire on your birthday in Florida and Georgia, and since Jimmy's birth month is November, I assumed it was the same in New Mexico. Apparently not.
So if you buy a vehicle 2 months before your birthday you end up paying reg fees twice in those 2 months?
That's crazy.

You just transfer the old one. If it is a new one, then you'll have impact fees (although I think they are called something else these days) to worry about. I would imagine a less than 12 month registration would be pro-rated.

Well I think the writers had to have Mike say the vague “Lalo isn’t coming back” only because of the one line from Saul in the desert in BB. If Saul had just mentioned Nacho then Mike would have bluntly told them Lalo was dead. Mike for whatever in his own reason just told them he wasn’t coming back. That just left pointless doubt in Jimmy and Kim’s heads.

I haven't bought a vehicle since 2013, so I'm probably the worst person to ask on this. But in GA as menitoned your tag/regsitration renewal where you get your sticker is due on your birthday so I would ASSUME that if your birthday is November 2022 and you bought a vehicle in September 2022, they would give you a sticker that says 2023 on it. I don't really know though.
As for "registration fees", I guess that is a different thing too? In GA you only pay to renew your tag which is like $50 I think. I recently moved to AL and when you renew every year you have to pay a percentage of your vehicle's value, whihc was definitely different than the process in GA.

Right. Mike didn’t tell him Lalo was explicitly dead, but even if he had—or hell, even if Saul saw his dead body get buried next to Howard—it doesn’t mean he couldn’t have already ordered something before his death. But mostly, Saul had been representing public masturbators and the like, there’s likely nobody he’s dealt with since that he could imagine taking him out to the desert to get shot and buried in a pre-dug grave. Of course his fricked up head would go to Lalo in that situation. Who else makes any sense?

How old is Kim supposed to be?
Seehorn is 50, so if Kim is supposed to be similar she isn't pumping out a bunch of puppies.
Odenkirk is 59 and has said the fans have been great about suspending disbelief about him playing a much younger character in BCS. He’s said some other stuff too about Jimmy being young and immature, even for his age. And when first meet Kim, she’s pretty young in her career. My guess is she’s supposed to be mid 30s. That marriage scene shows their drivers’ licenses, I bet it shows their birthdays on there if you want to look it up and do the math. But there’s zero chance Kim is close to 50.

Jimmy is 11/12/60
Kim is 02/13/68
Kim's DOB is earlier than I would have guessed.

So the oldest we’ve seen Kim is 36 in this season. I can’t remember how many years earlier Season 1 was to have taken place, but early-mid 30s seems about right for her character.

I'll offer the following observations to keep the thread alive until Monday night.
- Haven't seen this anywhere, but the name for this episode has to come from the old saying "It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt." And many people got hurt big time.
- Kim used the info Howard shared in his final moments (regarding the dismal state of his marriage) to really twist the knife in Cheryl at the memorial service. Playing the scam until the end.
- Kim's last words (so far) to Jimmy/Saul were, "I didn't want that because I was having too much FUN" leads me to think that her entire relationship with Jimmy was a scam in itself. As long as they were playing someone else, from the salesman in the bar, to Chuck, to Mesa Verde and finally to Howard, things were great. When the fun ended, so did her reason to stay with Jimmy.
These are just my opinions. If you disagree, please elaborate. I have no idea what happens in the last few episodes, but I am looking forward to every minute.

Apparently there is going to be some connection between Kim leaving and Walt and Jesse appearing. The following is part of an article I ran across with comments from Paul Gould. Not sure exactly what it means but it sounds intriguing
Link to Article
When asked by Deadline if Walt and Jesse’s appearance is a consequence of Kim’s actions in episode nine, Gould said: “Well, certainly, the choices that Kim has made…
“The choices that Jimmy has made, yeah, absolutely,” he teased.
The Better Call Saul boss added: I’ll say that I really love the way these characters are woven together into this final group of episodes.
“I think it’s really cool,” Gould concluded staying tight-lipped but confirming Kim is tied to Walt and Jesse’s stint.

Look, we all make choices, right? And those choices... they put us on a road. And the road has good choices, and it has bad choices. And this is a bad choice road. What are you even talking about? I'm saying that bad choices lead to bad roads that lead to bad places.
i think is choices like the bad choice road context. yes they made choices that get them to where they are. the decisions they made end up leading them to meeting jesse/walt. the conning, cartel, framing howard, leaing jimmy etc. set saul up to meet the meth cooks.
