Walt had a part time job at the car wash. Maybe that’s how he shows up during the BCS timeline?

I think the reasoning for the split season is to allow the time jump that will be necessary assuming BCS does get into the BB era.
Or, Saul and Walter will meet in passing or Saul will get him out of a parking ticket or some such.
There are obvious reasons for Jesse to meet a criminal lawyer prior to BB.
I could see them doing something like that versus Walter/Jesse being an actual part of the plot.
jesse didnt meet him before. he said 'this is the guy i would hire, he got emilio off twice' to walt while discussing getting badger help. I think jesse wouldve said that he helped him before if that were the case.
yea they wont be central to the plot of the episode, it most likely be tie in with lalo and how he was kidnapped by walt/jesse. or it will be saul building his wealth/mansion with them or prepping to disappear due to them.

Guy jumps $7 million bail on a murder charge, is a known drug kingpin, and he's just going to fly off to Europe. Nah, even in 2005 that would be exceedingly risky.
He skipped bail in the USA and flew from Mexico to Germany. His family has federalies on the payroll. I thnk they can handle it.

I initially had the same impression as bucky, thats unrealistic. but he flew from mexico, i viewed it as an american, mexiso likely didnt implemented anything like TSA stuff we did post 9/11 in USA. it was probably easy.

Kim looking fine as hell in this episode though.

I did the same and considering it I'm sure he'd have no trouble getting a fake passport from Mexico being a part of the cartel.
Still stretching things a bit going all the way to Europe, but not totally implausible.

Yes. It’s a fricking lazy word used by hacks and doesn’t even mean anything. Every episode is filler—filled with information, scenes, choices, etc…He just didn’t like what it was filled with. Fine. Discuss what you didn’t like. Just calling it “filler” is weak.
Quit crying. This is a message board; we're not getting paid to write full reviews or attempt to persuade you of anything. In fact, not a single person here cares if you agree...
...with the fact that it was a filler episode. That wasn't a "slow burn" episode, that was a "see you next week when the writers get back from vacation episode." And that opening video sequence, I didn't set my dvr to record How It's Made.
At this rate, it feels like we're learning as much from the previews as we do from the full episode.
Also, I've known more trial lawyers and smalltime defense attorneys than i'll ever have use for, and I've never known any who talk to each other the way Kim and Jimmy do. "Why am I..." "Because...you know why..." "I know..." It's so unnatural and reveals nothing to the audience; it's just a cat and mouse game with the audience.

SPOILER (if you didn't watch yet)
I really enjoyed the episode. I lost all track of time and was sad at first when Gus turned out the lights in the "cave" that it was the end of the episode.
Do we think that Kim & Saul expected the Private Investigator domino to fall just like it did? They didn't seem startled by Howard's suspicions.
Will everything that Saul does in the next episode be extremely choreographed to lead Howard down the exact route that they wanted?
Finally, so many incredible layers to Lalo! Is it awful that I am rooting for him to survive the season now as well?

nah it was slow burn with some fluff. it set the stage for lalo vs gus conflict. began the confrontation phase of jimmy+kim vs howard war.
but im not gonna get butthurt if someone thinks its a slower episode, it was. not every episode is going to be a nacho finale.

Im not sure what this is about, i didnt get that vibe at all. they arent just 2 random lawyers youve worked with. they are married, and co-conspirators in a slew of crimes. it would be weirder if they had to soliloquy exposition between themselves. theyre on the same wavelength it is what it is.

Right. They're married; they're not psychically linked. They obviously have had detailed conversations to hatch this elaborate 12-step plan for Howard, but we get these oblique exchanges that reveal nothing and are designed to keep the audience and commentators guessing. I think that's what people mean by "filler," not that we were disappointed by a lack of car crashes or explosions.
These confrontations have been building for multiple seasons (and years); there comes a point where enough groundwork has been laid.

I saw 1 thing that may cause a problem with their plan. Kim knows Mike is following. Howard's P.I. drives an almost identical car.
At some future moment she may assume it's Mike and not Howard when they're trying to pull something off.
Not sure about that, but that thought jumped into my head as soon as I saw the car.

2 toothbrushes consistently shown in the sink during better call saul pre-BB timeline while they are surely together, but saul's house immediately post-BB bathroom being cleaned out only has 1.
Definitely worth noting, but you have to ignore a lot of other issues regarding that house if you want to make the toothbrush situation definitive.
That house presented conflicting info, and we also need more context regarding that house.

If the red panties are Kim's we are owed seeing her wear them.

we are owed seeing how they got where they were instead of wearing them

They're not hers, but I welcome that scene.

I think I am crazy...but I enjoyed this episode. So strange to see Gus this paranoid about anyone but we see Kim almost as paranoid. Also, I thought Howard was going to do much worse damage to Jimmy in the ring.
Do you think she moved the chair to put on a brave face for Jimmy or do you think she actually felt better after talking with Jimmy?

Interesting. If Mike's still watching Kim and Jimmy, then his guys are gonna identify Howard's PI.

nothing has to be ignored. its all consistent and easily be explained by any variation of kim leaves jimmy, jimmy forces her away, kim flees, kim dies and then jimmy moves things left behind into his house. IMO this is obvious season-long foreshadowing just like VG loves to with each episode foreshadowing the end of the episode.
now maybe kim is with saul the whole time but stages it so that he seems alone but this would be when you have to ignore a lot of issues and would have conflicting info from the house. like why she left the tequila stopper and code book from the vet.
we know the tequila stopper something she likely wouldve taken if she had the time/desire to. if she really was working with saul in the whole time under protection of shadows she wouldve retrieved those items while staging the house, or she wouldve disappeared with saul.
