you.
There has to be some reason for that blue flower at the beginning. Anyone know what it is?
The flower is where Nacho died

Looked to be a different place than I recall from where Tuco bought it.

Think he runs the risk of Gus winning the firefight, particularly with Mike on the hill. And the. Gus could take revenge on his father. Right?
True.
Mike follows the plan even if he doesn't care for it so he probably wouldn't have let everyone kill each other.
Mike saying "Do it kid" when Nacho had the gun to Bolsa's head makes me think he would have given Ignacio fire support however.

Don’t think it is but it’s definitely the same one where Mike originally tried to snipe Hector in season 2.
Ahh that is it

Hector had to live the rest of his days knowing nacho put his arse there. fricking boss move.

Damn, even the twins didn't know what to make of it when Nacho was spitting his venom. They were looking at each other and Nacho really confused.
The whole thing served two purposes in that Gus will really make sure Nacho's dad is taken care of and the Salamancas are fully satisfied because it looks like they weren't really buying his Alvarez explanation and Nacho knew from last episode's experience that the twins probably weren't just going to let Victor or anybody else shoot him as he ran away.

Yeah I meant it was understood that he was going to die that day.

Good point. The Twins likely would have perforated Victor and Tyrus if they tried shooting down Nacho as they would have wanted to torture him just for what he did to Tico.
While they didn't know Mike was up on the hill, still very risky.

I guess he did it to save his dad. What a great episode that was very BB like in how the beginning tied into the end
Absolutely this.

I’m sitting here wondering who the hell is Alvarez? But I guess know one knows?
If you'll remember back to bagman, they're the guys that ambushed Jimmy. They had the special tattoo that Gus recognized in the following episode.
Bolsa either paid them, or gave them the knowledge 7 million was running around unguarded in the desert.
Gus made Mike draw the tattoo which looked similar to an hourglass.

I pointed out after episode 1 that they were taking Kim's painting out of Saul's party pad. Now in episode 3 their hiding their schemes on the back of it.
I just rewatched the scene from e1 and they didn't show the backside of the painting.

Also interesting, Kim asking
Do you want to be a friend of the cartel, or do you want to be a rat?

Back to Lalo's next move.
He needs proof on Chicken Man and that proof just died. Now he needs new proof.
He's looking very dapper in the season preview, like James Bond. I bet he's headed to Germany to talk to that shithead construction guy.
Hopefully that means Mike gets to finally kill that guy.

1 more thing.
Nacho sucks at hide and go seek. Why would he crawl into that tanker knowing it's the first place they'll look?

I feel like that was a foreshadowing metaphor of him entering the black void on his terms and not by the hand of the Salamancas

In fairness, it's a very pragmatic question and not necessarily her challenging him to turn to the dark side.
Being a "friend to the cartel" has obvious drawbacks but getting a rep as the lawyer that rats out his clients (even presumed dead ones) won't be great for future business.

This is true, but it could also be read as her pushing him in the direction she prefers by framing a question where the answer is a no brainer.
She seemed to be telling him more than asking.

I'm also trying to figure out what Saul and Kim are up to with Howard. They copied his key fob and his ignition key.
My fist thought was they want to plant cocaine in his car, but that would only require the fob, why the ignition key?
Will they maybe plant it then wreck his car knowing it will be found? That seems too risky.
Not quite sure what they're up to needing both.

Before Jimmy thought of "the valet scam" and using Huel, they were talking about mocking up another car to look like Howard's. So it's more than planting something, they want Howard's car to be seen somewhere or doing something.
