Was that Huell? He looked smaller.
Yep that's him. In real life, the actor lost a bunch of weight since BB was filmed.

Interesting that Kim is taking a job with the firm that represents Sandpiper. Wonder if her and Jimmy will end up on opposite sides of this issue.

Who do you think Jimmy sent Francesca to go see?
Well, not Kim, because Francesca knows Kim, and the person Jimmy sent her to see was someone she clearly didn't know.

That scene was awesome. When this show (and Breaking Bad) wants to write a damn chilling monologue, it always sticks the landing.

Francesca worked with Kim for about a month in 2003. Saul gave her the card in 2012, so I wouldn't say she knows Kim.
If Kim has been helping Jimmy/Saul this whole time she's likely hiding behind the cover of Schweikart and Cokely.
It's also possible when Francesca goes to see Schweikart that she doesn't even talk to Kim. We don't know the full dynamic yet. Maybe Schweikart has other attorneys on it also, maybe they feel like they're just representing their client, maybe their a bit dirty also.
Saul's smarter than to just tell Francesca to go see Kim is my point.

2010.
She would obviously remember Kim. That's insane to think otherwise.
The scene makes no sense if Kim is involved.

Sometimes I hope Kim dies so we can put this crackpot theory to bed and and stop the steering of every thread to this.
And before you get your panties in a wad, I’m not saying you’re doing the steering some of the times.

Sure she would remember who she was, and the scene makes perfect sense.
If Kim has been his secret ace in the whole all these years he's not going to blurt out go see Kim Wexler right when the shite is hitting the fan.
He would do exactly what he did. Give her the card and let Kim handle it.

It is my fault this time, but I feel like her going to the new firm is the first step in keeping her involvement hidden.
The next step will be hiding their love life. If she's involved with Saul they won't be living together. It will have to be secret rendezvous.

It may also be a step in her moving on with her life and out of Jimmys.
And as soon as he took of running from the three hoodlums, I was hoping it was a set up. Didn’t think it would be that awesome of a setup tho.
Who was the bearded guy with Huell?

They have shown enough now to be certain she is in his life all the way through.

Only question I had about that whole thing was, it seems like those 3 turds are given way too much street cred. It's 3 wannabe looking thugs that happened ot beat him up that first time bc they knew he was flush with cash. In the next encounter last night Jimmy approaches them and one guy has a knife, but none of those guys look all that "hard" and simply look like 3 punks with nothing better to do than hang out at the hot dog stand.
So after Jimmy strings them up he says basically "put the word out not to interfere" or something, and they're like "yeah we'll tell everyone don't mess with the cell phone guy".
I love that this show is so incredibly awesome that THAT is the only real nitpick I have, but I feel like they gave those guys way too much credit.

He’s gotta get someone to spread the word. And why not get the same group who were probably bragging about robbing the cell phone guy.

I think its the exact opposite. They have shown enough that she almost certainly is not.

Good episode, but a couple things:
1. I’m ready for Kim’s part in the story to be over. She’s a great actress, and I get the significance of her character to Jimmy’s development, but at a certain point, I just don’t give a shite about Mesa Verde or her new partners. I really hope that winds up this season.
2. Mike is so good at thinking of every last detail, I’d be interested to see how things would play out if he slipped up for once. How would his character handle a personal failure? What would be the consequences?

I knew it was a setup, but I think he had too much confidence in his athletic ability. He’s lucky he didn’t get caught.

When he bought all those phones with that money from the check, and then moved them into the nail salon, I was thinking - oh my God who cares about this phone storyline anymore. But then that ending payoff was pretty good

I am too. I am completely bored and annoyed with her this season. Its the only part of the show that I am just not interested in at all.

They have been flaunting in front of your face since the first episode. I will give you a few highlights.
1. Saul's fake company ISZA is named after Kim's dad's favorite movie.
Some would have you believe he did that because he misses Kim.
I say it's because Kim chose the name. It makes perfect sense now if her new firm represents this fake company.
2. In back to back episodes we see Saul give a Law Firm's card to Francesca and we also see Kim going to a new law firm.
Back to back episodes. I guess this just another coincidence.
3. We see Gene reminiscing over Saul Goodman commercials. He wants to be back at this point in his life. Why?
Because he had it all. Money, the career, and most importantly the girl. He was on top of the world.
He wouldn't be so fond of that time period if Kim wasn't part of it
4. The Royals bag. This is subtle, but it was just a little visual hint that Kim is involved in his life.

I hope they let Kai keep testing Mike's patience for a bit, just so we all really hate him when he gets what's coming to him.
I fully expect them to pull the switcheroo on us and show Kai to ultimately be very quirky but the guy that really has his shite together while the lead engineer ends up being a neurotic screw up.

It would be relatively minor but I'm wondering if Mike ends up being wrong about the guy he thinks is a faker in grief counseling.
In Breaking Bad, Mike was a professional but he also made quite a few mistakes so him being borderline omniscient in Better Call Saul sometimes plays a little weird.
