Binge watched the first 3 seasons. Long break. And then started watching season 4 at its premiere. The break is playing havoc with my memory. Remind me again why Jimmy isn't/cant practice law

This was a loooong break so I had to rewatch S3 a few weeks ago leading up to the premier of 4.
Jimmy can't practice for 12 months because of the fallout from breaking into Chuck's house and destroying that tape recording of him admitting he fudged the numbers on that mesa verde document that got them to drop chuck.

His license got suspended for a year for breaking into Chuck's home and tampering with evidence.

quote:No, I was referring to them riding a truck with a bunch of other illegal aliens from Mexico (and then killing them all when one of them recognizes them as cartel).
I don't remember that. Maybe they were being watched on both sides by DEA/FBI/CIA.
Or you may be referring to the scene in BB where the twins were crawling through the desert, that was a religious ritual thing to with the Santa Muerte.
It seemed like they went through a lot to get into the country illegally.
So, I'm wondering if they do something crazy that gets them on the US government's radar in BCS.

I hope the show provides a good reason as to how Gus knows Nacho had something to do with Hector.

They already did. Mike told Gus it was going to happen. Right after Mike tried to talk Nacho out of doing it he then went to Gus and said there's a situation you should know about. It didn't actually show what he said, but was pretty obvious he told him about Nacho's plan.

Gus knew since Mike told him a while back. The entire time Gus was checking on Hector he was reconciling what to do with Nacho.
We got that answer last night

I agree wholeheartedly with all of your assessments/takes on the episode. Now I know who to follow going forward on BCS threads. Good stuff.

What are people's thoughts on Jimmy's interview? Was he mad that the guys were so gullible, triggered by seeing the figurine and thinking of the old people who he took on as clients?
I also have to say it's so damn impressive how Gilligan can take characters with defined endings and expand on them so much to where the audience is still held to the edge of their seat at the end of nearly every episode. Specifically in terms of how Jimmy becomes Saul and what happens with Jimmy and Kim.

Same with mike. Hell we know his future from BB but still here we are deep into mikes backstory.

They are setting Jimmy up for some serious fan hate depending on the fate of his and Kim's relationship. If anything bad happens to her on account of Jimmy, it will not be easily forgiven. Kim is the anti-Skyler.

Whatever happens with Kim is the key to Jimmy abandoning all that is good inside him and fully becoming Saul.
Chuck's death is a catalyst for that for sure, but Kim will be the lynchpin of all that.
I don't think she dies (although certainly possible), but I do think something terrible happens and she no longer sees any good left in Jimmy and leaves.
Jimmy often has childish reactions to those around him not believing in him...

I don't know what's going on with the figurine yet, but they definitely triggered Old Slippin' Jimmy. Odenkirk and the writer discuss it, if you want to watch this short youtuber.

Thanks, I kind of nerd out on BB and BCS.

I think what we will find is that he never fully loses good Jimmy. I think Saul will be a face he puts on for work.
We even saw this in BB during the basement scene. That was Jimmy. There was no more reason to be fast talking Saul Goodman. It's the only time in BB we see him take off the mask.
I think in BCS we will see him take off that mask quite a bit. We will see him dealing with people outside of his work and people he cares about.
Don't believe me, just go look at the promo pic for this season.

He turned down the job because they were too "good" or too naive for him to work there. Jimmy was right, they overrode their normal instinct of waiting a week to make a good decision and fell for his huckster pitch.
Yea, it probably reminded him of his parents being suckers and brought up some guilt over the way he stole from them. His stealing from his parents is where a lot of his brothers mistrust came from so it also brought up some guilt from that.
