surprised this hasn't been discussed yet

quote:

Marvel has announced a new Fantastic Four movie, with Spider-Man Homecoming director Jon Watts at the helm. Not only that, but Marvel has also announced multiple new MCU shows are coming to Disney Plus, including Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, and I Am Groot.

quote:

However, we know a little more about Secret Invasion, which will see Samuel L. Jackson return as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn back as the Skrull Talos from Captain Marvel.

Dominique Thorne will play genius inventor Riri Williams in Ironheart, about the creator of the most advanced suit of armour since Iron Man. Armor Wars will see Don Cheadle returns as James Rhodes, aka War Machine, in a story that sees Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true: tech falls into the wrong hands.

I Am Groot will bring back Baby Groot, who will star in a series of shorts featuring several new and unusual characters. Plus, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will arrive in 2022, with James Gunn is back to write and direct.

Other notable announcements include Ant-Man 3 being officially titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with Jonathan Majors confirmed as Kang the Conqueror. Christian Bale's Thor: Love and Thunder character has been confirmed as the villain Gorr the God Butcher, and Tim Roth and Mark Ruffalo will play Abomination and Hulk in the upcoming series, She-Hulk. Kate Bishop will appear in Hawkeye, with Hailee Steinfeld finally officially confirmed to be playing the archer. And Ms. Marvel, Iman Vellani, has joined the cast of Captain Marvel 2. Oh, and there are new trailers for Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki...

We’ve been talking about them.

Don’t give a damn about Ironheart or Ms. Muslim.

Excited about everything else.

Really curious about how Armor Wars will work and if that will be in mainline continuity but I can see it being a fun series if they play it right.

Wandavision trailer looked amazing. This, and its lead in to the new Dr Strange movie is my most anticipated stories coming from Marvel.

I noticed that Falcon and the Winter Soldier is coming in March, so its probably starting the week after Wandavision ends since it starts Jan 15. The eight episode of Wandavision would be on March 5. The show itself looks alright. Im sure the fight scenes will be spectacular and it will tie into the big picture of Marvel, so the story should at least somewhat be interesting, but these characters dont inspire confidence.

Loki looks like it will be fun, and with all the jumping from place to place in the trailer, Im sure it will somehow lead to the Dr Strange movie as well, but I really dont know anything about this series.

WandaVision is 6 episodes and TFAWS is premiering on March 19th

Didn’t expect them to put TFAWS out before Black Widow since something that is teased in BW is supposed to come back around in TFAWS but who knows what all changed with the shift in the calendar.

Antman is the one I'm most excited from from this list. The movies didn't do as well as some of the other Marvel stand-alones, but I thoroughly enjoyed each of the first 2.

The most meh from this list is Iron heart. I know it's comic-inspired, but if you want to make a new female ironman. It deserves to be his daughter.

That would be the Time Variance Authority

Poppa got a job with them and then bought a Chevrolet.

Agreed. They’d have to wait a few years and all, but seeing Peter, Happy, and maybe even Rhodesy mentor her? Heck maybe she learns from Shuri as well, who knows.

I don’t understand pushing Iron Heart yet.

I’d prefer just focusing on War Machine a bit before delving into the next generation of the Iron hero.

I think that character is just too appealing in today's world to let it sit on ice for too long. It's the most "human" superhero. Plus, RDJ played Iron Man for what....12 years? A pretty long run.

So you admit it's their religion and not the quality of the character that matters?

Her religion is the hook of her character. That’s her “genius billionaire playboy philanthropist”. She was a token creation. I have no interest in token characters that were created solely to appease wretched people who have no interest in a modern society.

So? Good characters are good characters.

Just admit you've never read her book and we can move on.

Her character sucks. There’s nothing to her.

I hope she reads this bro.

Ironheart is a kid. Disney makes shows for kids. This is an easy conceptual layup for Disney making a marvel show that appeals to, wait for it, kids.
