TIL Die Hard 3 originally ended w/a game of Russian roulette

Kind of a dark ending. Not nearly the feel good happy ending they used to roll w/in action flicks and a bit slow for how the rest of the movie went. Feels more like what we'd see in a revenge flick w/somebody like Liam Neeson. Nice bit where he was able to trace Simon via the pain meds he got earlier.

That's pretty dark and twisted, and I can see why they went a different way.
But it was pretty badass though.

that was boring and i can see why they left it on the floor, it was too slow and meaningless to fit in with the story
