LOL at Peter Dinklage's eye roll after he said the writers ended the show brilliantly better than he could have imagined.

To be fair, there isn't much context to why they are answering the questions in a certain way. The responses could simply be a result of them awkwardly trying to avoid giving out spoilers to the hundreds of interviewers who keep asking them the same exact questions over and over.

Some of it wasn't season 8, GRRM's quote wasn't criticism of the show, and Dinklage's "eye roll" was him looking at the interviewer.

Dinklage kinda looks like those POW's who are forced to give untrue statements and try to send a message with their eyes.

Ahh... the old deceptive editing trick turned viral video that people then treat as the truth gambit.

There are some dramatic similarities, but yeah, not even close. The Last Jedi ruined Star Wars and they insulted the fanbase as racist, sexist homophobes. Game of Thrones is just anticlimatic and are trying to throw us off the scent to the detriment of the narrative. I can still watch the first 4 seasons and season 6 with the same enjoyment. TLJ kind of completely ruined Star Wars for me.

Indeed.

Is the series limping to the finish line?

Well yes. You go 8 seasons based on a book series where the author gave up after 6 books and that will happen.

They are clearly hoping to just wrap the series at this point. And that is fine. At this point you have actresses who were excited about entering Jr. High doing their first nude scenes all these years later.

It is done. Put a fork in it. Yes, someone like Lena Headey could do this role until she shuffles off this mortal coil 50 years from now. I think most of the rest of the cast, crew, writers, directors, and producers are ready to put this thing to bed.

I'd agree with this. TLJ attacked it's fanbase, D&D are just competing with some of the best television ever and they couldn't live up to what they did before. Lots of shows end worse than their prior performances that were amazing. This is just another one to fall into this trap. I don't think what TLJ did has an equal.

I meant the video seemed to indicate the actors knew what the reactions would be before anything released like Mark Hamill and some others insinuated prior to the release of TLJ.

Blow me.

I have said, many times, I think an actor should stay with a show until its ready to die.

Well, GoT is ready to die. Its been 8 years, its past its sell by date. And the cast and crew have been loyal to this show... but that doesn't mean they aren't ready to see the finish line.

If you can't understand that, well, it is you. I would not expect any better.

I am sure all of the actors, who you call clowns, and the other members of the crew would agree that they are proud of this show. But that they understand its time to put it to bed.

I'd pimp slap you now... but you'd like it.
