I need some new shows to watch at work. About to finish Justified.
Do either of these shows hold up as upper echelon shows in 2019 with all the solid tv out now? The wire appears to be dated but I hear so much about it.

The soprano's should hang in the Louvre.
I got four episodes into the wire though and it bored me to sleep.

Sopranos still is still the goat, even with all of the great shows over the past decade.

Both are great.
The Wire is one of the best things ever put on video. It’s a great novel about inner city Baltimore.

Yeah. I dont see the wire hype. I couldn't finish season 1. The Sopranos is perfect.

I enjoyed the Sopranos immensely more than the Wire, but that's just a personal preference. The Wire is interesting mostly for the fact it blazed a trail for what is now ubiquitous series-spanning arcs.

I love justified. I’ll try sopranos after I knock out the rest of Jack Ryan, I hear S2 is great. Amazon isn’t blocked at work so I’m limited to this streaming service.

I don’t necessarily think they’re the GOAT, but they are both solidly in the discussion if they aren’t.
FYI, The Wire works best as a binge (at least in my opinion).

The Wire is some of the best TV ever written. It’s a must watch. And it still holds up.
