To another great episode!!!

I hear ya bro. I mentioned last week that they should be in an old Fort. High walls, moat, one way in and out to defend, but what ya going to do.

This makes me wonder.
1) if they hot wired the Challenger why not hot wire one of the other vehicles in the street. Perhaps one of those Humvees or other bad arse all purpose vehicle.
2) If they drive past a Home Depot, are there more Messican zombies their?

3) If they can walk/jog to their camp, they are staying way to close to town. Atlanta has like 4 million people and probably probably a million of those are zom's now (trying to be conservative.) Can't live out in the open that close to a large zombie population.

Boondock is growing on me also. I was not much of a Rowdy fan, but for some reason I think he will show up in a few episodes and and start to grow on me.

Imagine that call from the agent to one of those actors...
"DUDE! I got you a part on 'The Walking Dead!' Yeah, but the thing is you'll only be on screen for about 3 seconds and a Zombie will be eating your face, so I wouldn't set the Tivo for it or anything."

what sucks is they probably filmed at least like 20 minutes of footage, talking and shite at the camp and they told their families they had a decent part. Then all that shite got cut and they just showed them being attacked in the darkness.

A lot of people who think they did wrong finding a location are a little off.

1. Right beside a big lake (remember the dad and son in their house have to catch rain water and such

2. Fish, deer, berries, nuts and what not in woods to eat, so you don't have to scavenge and scroung for food

3. Zeds were born, so to speak, in the city and. populated areas so it would seem better to get way up in the mountains somewhere seeing as they would possibly only get a few stragglers rather than hordes.

4. The women did the cooking and cleaning, so the men did repairs, hunting, and protection. When you take half the guns away, and half the men(protection) away, then you got what they had, nobody watching guard while they ate.

Most actors would probably still put it on their resume.

2010 - "The Walking Dead"; 1 episode, Zombie victim #36

for the reasons you listed, yes it was a good location. What they failed to do was set a perimeter though. The woods didn't provide enough protection, they needed something else. And like I said before, they just stopped being as vigilant as they should have been. They got comfortable in their safety instead of seeing the stray zombie as the warning it was.

SPOILERS...........

Just woke up too early with nothing to do and watched this shite again. Best episode so far, I already got depressed at the end when they said "Only 2 more episodes left."

So where the frick is Merle? I know it's been brought up and discussed a lot already(and it doesn't seem likely) but still slightly possible he had something to do with the zombie attack???? I mean he did take the van, he obviously had more than enough time to get back and set up shop and he wasn't there when the hero's returned. I'm thinking that if he did do this, he may have been chased by the zombies and he made his way to the van and was just like frick it, I'm gonna lead these geeks to the camp, best revenge ever and I'll be on my way. Just a thought. And they didn't show any signs of him showing up in the previews for next week.

But I mean they were cooking late, like others said they may have either smelled the fish or picked up on the flames that late at night and already been close enough to just swarm them. And they weren't more than a couple of miles from the city apparently given how fast the hero's made it back on foot.

That was a great curveball with the Vatos. Nice to see those guys had some humanity after perpetrating like some real arse cholos. Also nice to see Rick don't back down from shite. The guy playing Rick is one of the better TV hero's I've seen in recent years and easily makes the show. I'm also growing fond of the Boondock Saint. He was fricking hilarious pulling out the hand and then trying to kick that messican kid in the face shortly afterward.

And who didn't see one of the blond chicks was about to die after that opening number on the lake talking about their fishing trips with their dad when they were younger? The minute that bitch said I have to go Pee, I was like C-Ya! Didn't take Miss Cleo to see that shite coming. Also glad the wife beater bought it too. His FACE WAS frickED THE frick UP! he looked worse than the zombies. That was just a mercy killing on the Zombies behalf.

frick why does a week have to be 7 days? Sunday night can't get here soon enough.

Agreed. You can see the skyline of the city and it looks close.

I think Glenn's joyride with the alarm blaring drew them close to the camp.

Also was thinking that since zombies really don't have a higher brain function perhaps this leads to enhancements to smell and hearing.

The bolt to the arse was my favorite part of the show. The night zombie attack was excellent. The hispanic dude was swinging for the fence. Badass!

Funny though... I was not aware that you can see a mountain range when you are in Atlanta.

So if the white trash brother was reusing the crossbow bolts and shot that dude in the arse, shouldn't he turn? Obviously no way to be sure if it was clean or not. Just a nitpicking note I had.

Watched all four episodes last night in succession. I'm quite tired this morning. Show is absolutely amazing but two quick points.

1. I would have set up camp more strategically then the edge of frickin Sherwood Forest. I'd have been moving once I saw the first one.

2. The best survival position IMO is the coast, with access a boat. Unlimited food source plus with a natural escape incase those Cajun Zombies come running after you all Call of Duty like.

Also, no character has really irritated me yet and thats uncommon. Usually it's some sniveling woman with some mental breakdown that gets everyone in trouble in Zombie movies. Haven't seen that much.

Also, after the chick was bitten at the end...I was totally expecting that crazy coonass brother to walk up and shoot an arrow in her head to end the episode.

I was waiting for her to come too and take a bite out of her sister. I'm still not up on the rules of this world. How long does it take?

Stone Mountain Georgia isn't far from Atlanta at all. I don't recall there being a giant lake though.

I was waiting for her to turn as well! I figured somebody would shoot her. Considering there was a helicopter in the first episode I would think the Gov't/Mil was still broadcasting radio transmissions with information pertaining to safe cities and such. So far though I think last night's episode was Incredible! I think they need to go back to the police station where Rick and Shane worked. They have propane and running water there. Likely less Zombies too, and I am sure the place can be locked down fairly well.
