i think because of the fact that everyone is already infected, they can never really escape the threat, no matter how secluded a place they can find themselves

They are already in about as good of a place as they can be. You would have to be in place where you could lock everyone up at night in case someone dies in their sleep. The problem is they didn't do the most reasonable thing and lock the cell doors when everyone went to bed, and just used sheets as doors in the cells. If they had locked the cells, they wouldn't have had the zombie outbreak like they did.

Give everyone a key to their own cell and you won't have that problem again. That is, there are keys for the cells.

Really, even if you didn't have keys to all the cells you could still shut the cell doors with a piece of chain, a sturdy rope, or any number of things. Thus far, zombies have been shown to not be able to manipulate any type of device that might be used. (Except for Morgan's Zombie wife who could somehow turn the doorknob).

The one thing about this last episode that gave me a little pause is how they are painting some of the new people as kind of ZA naive.

Many of them are. From what I gather, Woodbury was able to fortify early on, so people have been insulated from much of the horror for a good while. Moving from there to the prison just kept them in that cushioned belief of relative safety.

Rick & Co haven't had much of that until the Woodbury folks were brought to the prison. So yes, by comparison many of them are naive.

same person that was feeding the zombies?

I doubt it, I think the person that fed the zombies was the older of the two blonde haired girls, or at the minimum one of the kids in the camp.

Although there have been some pretty fricked up kids in Hollywood so it could be the same person.
