This was the best documentary I have seen in a long long time. It was full of so many WTF moments that is reminded me of S Town except on television and somehow even crazier.

Carole definitely killed her husband and she is doing the exact same thing Joe and the others are doing. Not sure how she sees herself differently. And her place was a shite hole compared to Joes.

The biggest WTF moment for me was when Travis killed himself. That video was absolutely shocking to watch. Somehow I didn’t see it coming. I knew he was going to kill himself, they made that obvious but I didn’t expect it to happen on video.

This felt very Vernon Florida to me, a doc by Errol Morris. Vernon isn’t nearly as sensational, but well worth the watch if you enjoy the crazy.

I loved tiger king. It is legit the best thing Netflix has put out in a very long time. I wish they would have done an even further deep dive because the material would have easily allowed 20 episodes.

The FBI is pretty fricked up. I get the let's ignore the small fish to get the big fish mentality. But some of the "small fish" in this case weren't that small.

And I'm still trying to wrap my head around Joe getting 16% of the vote in the gov election.

Also there's one maybe two likeable people on the whole show. That's hard to pull off

How many likeable people do you expect to hang out with a gay polygamist who breeds tigers?

The former manager who had no legs seemed like the most level headed and reasonable. I Hope he ends up on his feet.

Joe is a piece of shite. Everyone in that thing is a piece of shite.

Did she feed her husband to the tigers? I bet she did.

Anything Errol Morris touches is gripping. Vernon Florida is very high on my list as well.

These people are all insane. About 5-6 years ago when my wife and I first started dating, we went to Wildlife in Need to play with baby tigers. I just saw an ad pop up and seemed cool. Well the guy who ran it is Tim Stark - he’s the guy we see occasionally talking throughout and who had planned on opening the zoo with Jeff at the end before backing out.

I remember when we went all those years ago that this guy was a little off, but I brushed it off at the time because you have to be off to own so many exotic animals. He talked to us and encouraged us to post on social media with specific hashtags about how the animals were being treated well, to leave reviews, etc. because he said PETA folks were out to get him. But after watching this and then looking up some of the stuff about him, I felt terrible I gave him money and didn’t think anything of it - actually thought at the time he cared for the animals. Turns out he was just an egomaniac like Joe as well. He went to court against the Indiana AG trying to shut his operation down for animal abuse, he acted erratically through the the trial and even represented himself during it.
