Season 2 is looking like it might be better than the first season.

But isn’t this not really a season 2 but a separate show? This kind of diverges from the Terminal List storyline based on the books. But yeah, it is fantastic.

Funny that you say this because I have always thought that the Kaycee Dutton role would have been perfect for him

The first three episodes have been fantastic. The only thing I’m struggling with his motivation to be CIA. The first episode he seems to hate the CIA and feels they are screwing him and his friends over. The CIA is who demanded that he be dismissed as a SEAL. Now he seems completely ok being CIA with no internal conflict at all. I could see him going along with the first mission just to get the bomb guy but now he seems completely ok with being CIA. It just seems like a quick transition to me.

Raife with a pretty thick accent for someone growing up in Montana.

Rafe didn’t grow up in MT. He’s from Rhodesia (I think) in Africa. Not sure when he moved to MT. He and Reece went to college together there per the book. And his family now lives in MT.

In the books he has a hint of an accent. I believe if not born in the US came pretty young. It just surprised me to hear that full accent when he first talked on this.

If I remember correctly in the books the family spent a lot of time between Montana and South Africa. Their family had deep roots there and had a big hunting business on family land there.

Yea, the Hastings were all Rhodesians. His dad was a selous scout.

Raife is my favorite character in the books.

Eta: actually, his dad is my favorite.

I've just seen the first episode, and then Terminal List beforehand...

seems like Ben is someone who can't stay out of the action. CIA is his way back in, and he gets maybe a bit more leeway to do what he wants on the ground level while there.

He's had a hell of a year with American Primeval and now Dark Wolf.

Burned thru first 3 episodes, when do the next ones drop?

Saw Carr said after season 2 of Terminal List, he wants Savage Son to be made into a movie.

So, are we technically counting Dark Wolf as season 2 of the Terminal List? Because it's not really. It's a spinoff prequel.

Regardless, I think this property is better spent on the big screen. Terminal List S1 had a ton of filler. Dark Wolf is much more in the vein of a spy thriller/Jack Ryan type, which probably paces better for 7-8 eps.

Very impressed so far. Kitsch is perfect for these roles.

Yes absolutely. Have read all the books and as always am eagerly waiting on the next. This show kind've bothered me because its prequel that does not exist in the storyline of the books. That said, after having started it, I realized its a great way to introduce characters that are coming and also the show is simply fantastic. It surprised me to the point I think I may even be enjoying it more that the first season of TL which I did a rewatch of over the weekend. Just a really good show and as others have said, Kitsch is knocking it out of the park.

Between this show and Chief of War on Apple right now some really quality TV.

Really?

Spoilers below:

They laid it on pretty heavy I thought. You could tell the Israeli chick was working on some kind of bug in the electronics. Then once Raif started questioning everything at that point you knew something was off. Then they had like three different instances where the Israelis were able to cobble together something “really fast” before the operation. They were also very reluctant to change the time and place of the op after Raif questioned it. I knew something was up just not exactly sure how it would go down.
