This board: “I’m not watching a fricking Snyder JL series on HBO Max.”

Also this board: “It’s one long movie? frick that.”

how does that logic not line up? It's as long as a mini series.

A 4 hour superhero movie could be considered torture

I’m struggling to see how a Snyder cut will make this film worthwhile. At least with films like Kingdom of Heaven or Bladerunner, the foundation for a good movie was obviously there, but it was missing a number of things. The foundation for Justice League was trash.

Snyder has had a ton of his own failures too. Feel like there's a lot of irrational hope being placed on this out of a desire for good DC content or something.

If I’m going to watch a shite movie, I’d rather watch the shite that the director envisioned rather than watching the product of someone else running his shite through a meat grinder and trying to pass it off as gourmet

This.

I'll watch a notoriously bad or cult film if it has some significance in movies or has is an odd part of entertainment history (good or bad).

TMC showed Tom Schiller's Nothing Lasts Forever, which was never released in theaters or video. It featured Murray and Aykroyd the year that Ghostbusters was in theaters. It's not a great movie, not even that good as cult films go, but it was interesting to see what Schiller would do with a full length film, after he did those mini-SNL nostalgia films with Belushi and Hartman.

Four hours is a long watch, but there's no way I wouldn't at least sample Snyder's JL. I never made it through Catwoman and it took multiple tries to watch Jonah Hex. I'll see how far I can make it into this without putting the rest off for another day.

As much as I complain about Snyder, I'm still definitely going to watch this. I watch all the superhero crap, and that's not likely to soon change. If they can get me to watch The New Mutants, a superhero movie hated by everyone involved in it's production and by both studios who owned it, they can get me to watch anything.

I think 4 hour-long episodes might have been easier for me to commit to, knowing that I'm only giving an hour at a time to something in pretty sure won't be worth that time. I'll probably stare at the four hour run-time for weeks before finally giving up and starting it.

I think we hold onto hope that thry right the ship. DC has some great story lines but they cannot even seem to get off the starting line. Wonder Woman was their big hope and they ruined that. Even the worst Marvel movies weren't dumpster fires

Personal preference, but I put Justice League in the same tier as Thor 2 and Ed Norton’s Hulk. I saw them and have no desire to watch them again.

One tier below Ultron, which was a mess, too.

What is arguably the worst Marvel film, Thor - Dark World?

Thor 2, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2 are probably considered the three worst.

I also forgot Iron Man 3, which is probably my least favorite Marvel film after the first act or so. It just falls right off a cliff.

Where I was going with it is that they were generally considered dull and underwhelming rather than a total clusterfrick a la Justice League or Suicide Squad.

I disagree about a couple of them, but again, personal preference.
