Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 are tied for the worst, followed by Captain Marvel. Incredible Hulk was a Universal movie, but even then it was better than those 3.

It was produced by Marvel.

I enjoyed the original, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this too.

I also forgot Iron Man 3, which is probably my least favorite Marvel film after the first act or so. It just falls right off a cliff.
Iron Man 3 is part of the reason I'm not sweating the odd-so-far beginning of Wandavision.

IM3 was an awful standalone movie, but perhaps one of the most important "episodes" if you consider the MCU a series. Tons of plot seeds in that. Pushes Tony to make the choices he does for the rest of the entire storyline, through Endgame and beyond.

I'm not sure if DC has anything like that, yet. Perhaps WW84... we now know Diana is never going to put aside the big picture for personal happiness. We just got a movie showing her temptation, and how she gave it up.

What is arguably the worst Marvel film, Thor - Dark World?

I understand the hypocrisy in me saying this shortly after explaining “personal preference”, but are you out of your mind?

Thor Ragnarok
This is maybe the closest film adaptation of a comic book.

Thor comics are/were garish and fantastic. Thor was both powerful and a bit pretentious. Ragnarok captured that almost perfectly, the settings are "correct" to the books. And the fact that they were able to integrate it into the bigger MCU storyline was amazing.

Taika Waititi did a similarly good job with his episode of Mandalorian, keeping it both Star Wars and tied into the Mando theme. Dude seems to know what people "want", and creates that, instead of making it "his take".

I agree with all of this. I was half trolling with that post, just as T:Rag was half great. They got all of this right, but the wrong is in the three stooges slapstick comedy gags. Turning Thor, and even worse Hulk, into the 10's version of Pryor and Wilder was off putting. It's become cliche to make these Marvel movies into comedic effects, and they double and triple downed on this one. Everything else about it I loved though.

My honest answer to worst Marvel movie is IM3. SM:Homecoming is a close 2nd, but it could not outdo the travesty that was IM3 and the headfake of Mandarin

The biggest problem with Ragnorak is that it was suppose to elevate Thor to being the most powerful hero in the MCU but undermined that point throughout the course of the movie.
