Just saw this tonight and really enjoyed it, but I'm a fan of slow burn films. I can see how some wouldn't enjoy the pacing.

The opening scene with the continuous shot of the indian battle was incredibly well done. Arguably the best scene in the whole movie.

It's a small story - but Hardy stole the show.

It is good to see a action movie that doesn't have the over the top special effects in it.

Great movie. A few intense scenes that were brutal to watch. But nicely juxtaposed with the scenic/peaceful nature scenes. Created for a long movie but really helped balance things out. I found myself mesmerized at times by the open country. Beautiful

Leo deserves the Oscar. If not for this one, he will never get one

I really enjoyed it. I thought it was beautiful movie and was really glad I saw it in theaters. The opening fight and tracking scene was perfectly done. That said, it could have been 20-30 min minutes shorter

I liked it and thought it was a good film.

That said, Leo has had way better performances than this, although he was great in this as well. Just seems weird that he would win for this and not his other great roles.

Also really frustrated by the story. It was very loosely based on a true story but I hate when people in hollywood get around a table and say "Yea it's a good story but lets change it to be sexier" He didn't have a son, he didn't actually get revenge, they left him to die after he hadn't in a week and were in fear of losing the rest of their crew not because Fitzgerald was just some psycho

Best performance I've seen from hardy. And he's better than Leo.

Seems everyone or at least majority seems to think Hardy stole this movie. I know he is nominated but no one thinks he has a chance to win. He stars in 2 of best picture nominees but still seems to be underrated by most. Is it because most people say he is jerk to work with or because of his back peddling when talking about having sex with dudes. He is definitely an eccentric dude. Either way the dude is one of best actors in Hollywood right now and needs to be rewarded for it.

I don't think he stole the movie. Although he was fantastic. Having more dialogue makes it seem like he kinda stole it I guess, at least I can see why people would say that

He is definitely becoming one of the must see actors for me, just like Leo has been for the last decade. His character in Warrior was just fricking awesome, as was the movie. The Drop, a decent movie, would have been awful without him

Loved everything about it. Seen it twice already. Very rewatchable. If oscars come their way, certainly deserving.

I agree, and I've thought so ever since I saw them acting across from each other in Inception. This simple scene from that film demonstrates it.

I think everyone saying hardy stole the show is a bit off. I loved him as well, but I think that is just due to the roles they played. I think Leo would have made just as good, if not better, villain. But could hardy have carried the majority of the movie with basically zero dialogue as well as Leo did? I don't think so. Yeah hardy had very little dialogue in Mad Max, but that was a completely different movie with non stop action.

I will see it, I´m sure. I´m right now grappling with my expectations of Martian. I am very disappointed.

Both Leo and Hardy are great. I'm just saying that Leo is not the far superior actor. He has had a better career (to this point ) but Hardy can carry any role you put him in. From Warrior, Lawless, Locke, to now mad max and revenant he kills his parts. Biggest difference I think is that Leo has landed a lot of great roles that any actor would love to have because of who makes them whereas Hardy has made his roles great with performances in them. Either way They are both top 5 actors these days.

Agree with this. I'd put them 2, bale, fassbender, and Ben foster as my top 5 favorite current actors
