I was thinking the same thing. I thought once you've thrown a punch, you are gone. Simple as that.

Nia is the absolute worst person ever on this show. She is a disgusting person.

In the old days the crew would have jumped on her when she started hitting Johnny. Wtf happened?

Part of the reason that dog probably shits all over the house is all the crap nia feeds her
And yeah, they obviously gave nia special treatment to stay. They kicked people off like joey in cancun and Greg from Hollywood for not having jobs

I agree with Nia on one thing, she shouldn't have clean up dog shite. Avery brought Daisy into the house it's her dog. If I was a roommate I wouldn't be cleaning up shite for a dog that isn't mine.

I agree too. But then she has to take it so far.

They've never broadcasted that someone was leaving and a new person was joining the house before the season even started. Thats something thats always been kept a secret until it actually goes down.
She was hyped as the star of the season before she was even in the house. Then she has the whole fake accent bs, where they let her call the house ahead of time. They gave her the Hurricane Nia nickname.
I've bitched about where RW has gone for the 6 or 7 years but never actually stopped watching until mid way through this season. So I didn't see the fight. But for MTV to pump up Nia the way they have for months, they're essentially co signing whatever she did while in the house.

Yep. It's so stupid that reality shows can't even be real these days. Always have to manufacture drama.

This is the lowest rated season of The RW ever, they've been declining every year. And its because they don't know what they want to be.
They're trying to have it both ways, holding on to some of what made the show so successful for a decade; casting diverse, somewhat intellectual young 20 something's who come to the house and leave better people for having been there. VS the post-original Vegas season that basically changed reality tv.
Their problem is they haven't gone full out in either direction. They don't want it to basically be the edgy PBS special it once was, but they also don't seem to want to turn it into a co-ed Bad Girls Club. So they sit in the middle and lose viewers every season. Because if you're actually looking for chicks fighting every episode there are 100 shows out there for that nowadays.

And that's what's so sad about it. I used to watch every season growing up. I was envious of the fun they had and the bonds they all shared. I honestly believed that all 7 would be friends for life. Now it's a fricking joke. I would like this season a lot if it wasn't for nia's bullshite.

Agreed. The earliest seasons (NY/SF) seemed to have a diverse group of talented people with differing views. They then sought more party types with no substance. I was addicted to the series early on and then lost interest for about 8 seasons.

The ironic thing is that if they go back to how the show used to be they'd carve out a similar niche that they originally created.
More and more, reality shows in the Real World's demographic are going to the lowest common denominator. Trashy gold digging chicks fighting on camera.
If RW got back to its roots and went in the opposite direction they'd probably find some extra viewers. Can't get any worse than the sub 1 million they're getting now.

Good discussion the last few posts.
I do agree that Nia seems too ridiculous, almost to the point that she is a trained actor thrown in by the producers.
RW has lost it's mojo here recently, they need to switch up the format or something. I can't remember the last season I really enjoyed.

The first few seasons changed reality tv and for that reason alone were very interesting. If you put those people on a season today it would be terrible. I tried watching the san fran? seaon (with Puck) a few weeks back when they had a marathon on and it was really bad
I think the show has just ran it's course. People want Jersey Shore and that's basically what RW has tried to turn into.

Definitely. I meant it seems the producers realized this season was going to be completely boring and recognized an opportunity to let a crazy woman roam the house. In past seasons Nia would have been kicked out after being fired I believe.
Honestly Nia is terrible but she is also the only thing this season has going for it...

yeah. I don't see the appeal of some other cast mates AT ALL. How the hell did Anastasia, Jessica, and Johnny beat out the thousands who probably auditioned? They're not particularly talented at any one thing nor are they extremely good looking/party types.

You know though I would take a more boring season "per say" with less fights and stupid drama clearly set up to bring viewers in if that meant I would get real life personalities that were being themselves in real life situations. I'm okay with everyone in the house getting along because for me it's not about the fights it's about the fun they have and the trouble they can find themselves in that every 20 year old runs in to.
If I was ever on the show I would want everyone to make life long friends and if drama ever happened I would just leave the house and take a walk. Guess that's why I would never be picked for this crap.
