Ultra Instinct is an intriguing transformation and I’m enjoying everyone’s reaction to it. Like I said previously, I feel like it’s well written into it I guess. It doesn’t have the same feeling of “well here’s just another power up.”

That being said they better not let Kefla hang around with UI Goku. She can’t be that powerful.

Exactly, UI feels like something really really special... I just wonder how they will use it going forward, maybe Goku essentially just becomes like a God of Destruction... No real power ups, he just kind of goes from base to UI... Like when the gods go from regular to that aura around them.

I just wonder what happens to Vegeta, I know he has soemthing up his sleeve, but what? Some kind of mastered Blue form? Or perhaps some kind of god form, I don't know. He and Toppo fighting is fun

They have been building UI since one of the firsts 5-ish episodes.

On King Kai's world, Goku in SS3 goes to attack Beerus, and when he does his body moves him away from Beerus on its own. He is stumped as to why, when Beerus complements his bodies instincts, as they just saved Goku from death.

I think this scene was even in the GoD movie.

I originally hated the Japanese version when I first saw it... Goku is essentially an entire different character in sub vs dub... But the more I watched it, the more I like the Japanese version of his character more and more.... Plus it's like 2 yrs ahead of the Dub.

Some of the best episodes of Dragon Ball ever have aired in the last month or so. You really do get so used to the subs you forget your even reading them.

Only problem with the subs is when I think I must know Japanese and I look down at my phone or go grab something really quick elsewhere in the room and miss important dialogue and have to rewind.

Also with the subs does Goku seem like he has a more like idk, country accent or something going that’s completely different from the other characters? (Maybe I’m just use to watching the dubs for this anime)

I just really really hate the noises Goku makes in the sub when he is fighting.

a very very girlish atatatatatatata

Yes he has a very Country accent... That's another reason why I now prefer Japanese Goku to The US version. The American version isn't true to the real character. You have to remember Goku is an absolute bumpkin...he was raised in backwoods arse Japan (or wherever the hell they're supposed be) essentially by himself...just go watch the first few episodes of original Dragon Ball it's all there.

Grandpa Gohan died when he was a little kid and he basically stayed miles and miles in the woods with no power or modern conveniences and had never even seen another person before Bulma showed up when he was like 13 or 14. He was raised as an absolute hillbilly.

In the Japanese version he's essentially still just that bumpkin who wants who loves martial arts and a simple life and a orderline retarded sometimes, child-like way of thinking.

In the U.S. version they eseentislly tried to make him Captain America or 1980s Hulk Hogan... A righteous, above-it-all character who defends the helpless and so on and so on... Really he's just one ultra badass hick who cares more a out fighting than his family or real life.

Edit in response to comment about his voice:

The reason he sounds girly in the sub is because he's voiced by like an 80 year old Japanese woman... She's done his voice for basically 30 years now. She does Gohan's voice too I believe. It took some getting used to, but I like it better than the American voice now... That one's just too cheesy.

I'm confused on what you're saying.

Sub = English subtitles with Japanese voice actors

Dub = English voice actors from funimation

Also, besides just that; I feel like I have to rewatch the episodes because I'm too busy reading and I miss something. I was only watching the dubs, but after binging and catching up to the subs; I hardly notice anymore and prefer to keep up with the Japanese.

I got into the subs so I could binge watch. Really hoping they showcase Goku's UI. Let him be the strongest for at least the end of one season. I don't need to see Jiren learn it also.

The Japanese voice actress for Bulma died this morning at the age of 57.

She has appeared in almost 500 episodes of the Dragon Ball series.

Hiromi Tsudu was the third voice we ever heard in Dragon Ball. Very sad news for Dragon Ball fans. Gonna be tough to replace her as Bulma.

The Kefla thing is a joke... Even fused she should've been somewhere around Vegito circa the Buu saga... If that...

Instead, we got the 3rd strongest mortal character we've ever seen in the entirety of canon DB...

I'm just glad she didn't land a scratch on UI Goku...

And now next week we get a full episode of fricking Ribrianne....but at least I'm thinking this is universe's 2 last stand... I think they get erased soon.

I also think the Universe 6 Namekeians will play a huge factor going forward. I honestly think they might fuse with Piccolo therefore throwing a monkey wrench into the format. Then U-6 and 7 essentially act as 1 universe... Just a theory

Yeah, I'm a little split on that. I get that Kale probably has the Legendary SS transformation and that's probably why kelfa was so strong. Yet it seems so out of place that her ability seemed somewhere equal to blue Vegito

This episode seemed necessary about three months ago. Fricking Ribrianne blowing up into the Stay-Puff marshmallow man was beyond stupid; and seriously her universe used rave quality glow sticks to power her up? Whatever, glad she's gone and the real fights can continue.

Exactly, Universe 2 should've been gone like 3 epsides after U9 was eliminated... Seriously, why the hell are they so infatuated with these characters. Ribrianne is atrocious... Ep 117 was one of the 3 or 4 worst epsides of Super I've ever seen.

Hell I'd rather have old dbz like epsides where a fight last 5 episodes than have all this filler stuff full of terrible characters.

I'm just guessing that Goku will power up via fighting low level people again and eventually attain Ultra Instinct again to fight Jiren. It will be intriguing to see if Vegeta can attain it as well. There's only like 15-17 minutes left right?

Lol yeah, it's becoming hard to hold off. I just watch somewhat in the background a lot, like I'll be playing FIFA or something and I'll watch on my other tv while I play on my monitor so I know what's going on, but don't have to watch every second.

Eventually I'll probably sit down and push through all the subbed episodes once I hit a major cliffhanger in the dub.
