1 hour episode tonight.

I'm think it's going to be a good....seeing Kevin in the preview with a toupee on can only make for good TV.

yea these first couple of episodes have been funny at times, but jim seems too serious now as co-manager

there better be some other stuff going on other than the wedding. funny stuff bc this seems to serious

The problem is not the relationship. The problem is that at the same time the writers chose to make them a couple, the also chose to make them into a responsible couple. The pregnancy was a HUGE mistake.

Jim has to grow up and seek promotions and worry about paper sales. The old wise cracking practical joke making Jim is dead.

Even if they weren't a couple at all, the new Jim would be boring as hell and not worth watching.

One of the most common "Jump The Shark" moments is when characters get together, and another is when they get married, and one of the worst is when a baby comes into the picture...

Sorry, but there are several appropriate parallels.

Yep, and The Office has all 3 going for them.

Jim and Pam have ruined The Office.

I wish Michael would go back to being the full-time boss

How did Jim get a promotion in the first place?

No way. Impossible.

Well, impossible if they plan to keep this show afloat.

As far as Jim and Pam, sure it's annoying, but they have to advance that relationship/storyline at SOME point. I mean, this is season six, and they're just now getting married. I don't mind them being together, but they should just not focus on their relationship so much sometimes. We know they're in one, and we know that the Office wants to keep its female viewers happy, but just keep it as a side note and all is well.

Even though it's not appropriate for Jim to frick with Dwight (since he's co-manager now), I don't think there's any way they can take that out of the show. That's one of the main drivers of the show in the first place. Not to mention that Jim is the "everyman," and they won't want to frick with that too much.

I was disappointed that they ended Ryan's run as Michael's boss so quickly

Which is precisely what's at the core of the Jumping the Shark argument.

The show has been moving further from a comedy and more towards being a drama-edy for a while now. It's getting to the point where I may stop watching soon.
