Very interesting, well-made series on the process of filming the first Godfather Movie.
It was one of those limited series that you are sad it’s over…
Highly recommend giving it a shot

We are watching it, too.

It's really, really good.

But frick does it make me feel old. One of Columbo's enforcers is an old man and he was a Lost Boy in Hook.

He still looked like a kid pretending to be an adult in this one.

Matthew Goode as Bob Evans was the best TV performance I’ve seen this year.

I loved it. Great performances all around but I thought Matthew Goode as Bob Evans stole the show. I was really surprised how good it was.

Giovanni Ribisi deserves an award for his role as well. He killed it.

To me, that's Perconte from Band of Brothers

There were a few Band of Brothers guys.

The guy who played Sinatra.

Great acting in this series.

I binge watched it in one sitting over a weekend.

I LOVED it.

The guy who played Pacino was INCREDIBLE.

I particularly loved how efficiently it was done. Barely a wasted scene or fluff. They could have done as many other series have done and stretched it out another 3-4 episodes with meaningless filler but they stayed true to the storyline and keeping the viewer enthralled.

Another theme that struck me which is very relevant today was the absolute focus on the art of the film rather than other extraneous bullshite, which is wildly rampant today as the focus is more on injecting sociopolitical “lessons” into movies.

Just finished it last night!! I really enjoyed watching The Offer and was impressed with the performances of the cast. I like how it was a mix of mob drama and Hollywood drama. The Sopranos is my all time favorite show, so the mob aspect really appealed to me. Giovanni Ribisi was superb as Joe Colombo, he had that role down pat. Matthew Goode was phenomenal as Bob Evans, he was the show stealer in my opinion. Brilliantly acted. Juno Temple as Bettye was such a firecracker, what a great supporting role and sidekick to Miles Teller’s Al Ruddy, who I also enjoyed.

Overall, I would recommend this show to anyone looking for a great drama, and also curious to know how one of the greatest movies of all time was made.

SPOILER BELOW

I was disappointed that Al did not reunite with Francoise at the end of the show ( played by the beautiful Nora Arnezeder). Their relationship was one I definitely would have liked to have seen continue.
