Yes it is.

I'll give you Rainman, but Hook is one where I honestly can forget that it's actually Hoffman. His least "Hoffman" performance ever.

The music in that scene makes me misty eyed every time.

So many good quotes.

"Well, if it's your time to go, it's your time to go."

"What if it's the pilot's time to go?"

One of my all time favorite movies.

I'm at least moderately surprised that they are all still alive 25 years later.

I mean, I love it because when I saw it I was real little. most middle aged and older adults hated it. I've heard multiple times from older people saying this was one of Spielberg's greatest travisties up with 1941.

It was heavily panned at the time and considered a big failure.

This was me sorry I was out of college and just never got the love for this version. Understand though that when you loved something as a kid it just stays special to you.

But Hoffman's performance you have to admit is great. Seriously, that is the definitive version of Hook. When I read it, I can't imagine any other version. The movie was worth making simply for that performance alone, as well as Bob Hoskin's Smee.

I feel sorry for them then. I'm in that camp and love it.
