I'm no Tolkien scholar, but I'd bet my next paycheck that the Moon Man is Gandalph.
Also hoping that Sauron makes some appearance in some form this season. Apparently Adar is more likely to turn out to be a corrupt elf than he is Sauron.
One question: Was Elrond and the other lord elf laying out the drawings for what will end up being the tower that forges all of the rings? In theory, the tower would take years to build and don't know how it would work in the timeframe of the show, unless there was some big montage.
If it ends up being the tower that forges all of the rings, I'm thinking that that's when we may see Sauron shape-shifting as an Elf.

Yes and they talk about it needing to be built in a short period of time, which is why Elrond was brought in, and why he went to the dwarves for help.

A lot of people think Halbrand (the guy on the raft) is Sauron. Mostly because Of how he looks at the forge I am 60/40 it’s him.
Honestly I dont Get the point of washing away on a raft to MaYBE meet Galadriel to put himself in a position to be begging to use a random normal forge

I cheated a little bit and read a few articles on Nerdist. Halbrand also could end up being the King of the Dead guy that Aragorn talks to and rallies right before the big fight scene in front of Mines Tirith in The Return of the King.
If Halbrand is Sauron, personally I'd be pissed. To each their own, but Sauron should appear in a much more epic form than Halbrand if he's to appear in this series.

In the books he decides to corrupts the elves by befriending them and teaching them the ways of the smith he knows to build the rings. So maybe their adaptation is to is to use their leading lady Galadriel to become his friend and introduce. That is the only way at this point it could work being him.
I think Sauron is someone else though. Also the elves before we met Halbrand were already looking to build a mighty forge to create a weapon or something of power. I assume it is the rings and what is being kept secret about may mean Sauron has already befriended certain elves and they are working to get his plans without the dwarves and others knowing.
