I recommend using the timestamps (youtube) given in the comments when you reach a point in each episode that they start to drag.

They are EXTREMELY helpful in allowing you to "skim" the episodes.

One of the best moments in the entire series was when Matt had to create TWO separate event episodes because of an epically retarded decision that Travis' character made at the very end of the first campaign that was completely in character for him.

Hint: if you have a Deck of Many Things, GET RID OF IT. Don't draw a card!

I’ve been watching the show since campaign 1 episode 15. I was instantly hooked. I played as a kid back in the late 70’s and had started playing again with some guys from work and their wives when I found the show. I was inspired to take over as DM and transition us to 5th edition. We have been playing once or twice a week for 5 years now.

For Christmas a couple of years ago my wife got me a VIP ticket to the live show in LA. That show was “the Search for Grog” where they have to go deal with the consequences of Grog drawing that card.

It was awesome.

I wasn’t a huge fan of campaign 2, just never really connected with the characters.

So far I’m liking C3 better.

Good to see a few more fans on here.

I need to just watch it. I love litRPG, the issue is trying to listen to at least the early episodes on podcast is difficult because the audio quality is so low and they talk over each other.

Yeah. But remember where they started from. Just some nerdy arse voice actors playing D&D around a table in a room that was not set up for sound and video.

If you really can’t bear the rough quality of the early episodes, start with The Briarwood Arc. Google will tell you which episode that is. From there it really takes off.

The sound and video is better, and Orion is gone.

C1 is some of the best D&D content ever created.

The cast were all trying too hard to play characters that either weren't like themselves or were trying extra hard to be super LGBT woke.

The only one that worked was Liam's character (Caleb).

This season, the only one trying a bit too hard is Taleisin.

start with The Briarwood Arc.

In the animated series, Grey Griffin is playing Delilah Briarwood and Kelly Hu is playing Anna Ripley.

The arcs for campaign 1 are as follows.

Kraghammer and Vasselheim: 1-23
Briarwoods: 24-38
Chroma Conclave: 39-83
Darrington: 84-99
Rise of Vecna: 100-115

In episode 93, there's a key moment where, if Marisha doesn't roll correctly it literally ends the campaign with the entire party dead.

Agreed, especially because Liam plated another mopey emo character, and Liam is a mopey emo character.

CSB, when I went to LA for the live show, that Friday nioght a local art gallery had a VIP art showing of a lot of the artist Vox Machina work. The cast was there and I got to meet Liam, Sam, Marisha, and Matt. I actually got to talk with Matt alone for about 10 minutes. He's as cool in person as he is on set.

Also, completely agree that Tal is overdoing his character. He was born to play Percy, and as Percy had some of the best lines in the show. But his current character is quickly becoming annoying.

Also also, I was never a fan of Keylith or Beau, but gotdamn Marisha is KILLING it as Laudna. I never thought she'd play a character I'd like so much. Yes, she's an attractive woman and nice to look at, but her personality kinda grates on me after a while.

Laura on the other hand, may not be built like Marisha, but she's by far the sexiest woman on that show, and her nerd girl personality just puts her over the top for me.

Vaxildan is not mopey or emo, he's just an arrogant sarcastic a-hole.

Disagree, he’s mopey emo and Liam has said as much.

Calling brooding if that fits better. But if you listen to Liam and Sam’s podcast “All Work No Play” you’ll hear Liam talk about how he is the emo yin to Sam’s cheery yang. And that Vax has a similar personality.

First three episodes dropped. New episodes Friday.

Really good. Solid stories. Some genuine LOL moments in each episode.

I should have remembered who Krieg really was.

SPOILERS: If the series follows the campaign, Percy's sister is still alive.

It looks like they retconned the whole Kraghammer arc out of existence, which is disappointing because it was a pretty cool arc involving the Underdark, a horde of Illithid and an undead Beholder.

They also completely wiped out all traces of Tiberius.

I'm certain the voice when they are in the lair that says "Intruder" was Raishan. (Green Dragon)

I am a noob when it comes to this show, but don't sweat "book" spoilers.

The animated series is basically at episode 27 of campaign 1.

Percy made a pact with a demon. The demon gets every soul taken by his guns (plural, he has 2 of them. You've only seen the smallest one)

His guns are:

The List - Six shooter you've seen on the show

Bad News - sniper rifle that fires explosive rounds but has a high misfire rate

Each of the characters has a trigger that causes them to lose their shite...even Pike.

Yep. Been wiped for a long time now. Orion let his addiction and other RL issues screw him out of a lot of fame and money. I'd feel bad for him if not for the fact that I've heard he did some really shitty stuff in RL. (abusive to his GF, started a GoFundMe to raise money for a fan, then stole the money, was constantly cheating on rolls and metagaming).

This am I watched C1 E27 just to revisit one of the more egregious examples of Orion's creepiness. His "half chub" comment really felt skeevie. And if you watch Laura and Travis after that comment, you can tell that they get more uncomfortable with it after the initial comment.

Definitely Raishan. If you didn't notice, the eye was green.

Did you see the Chroma Conclave rug on the floor in Krieg's room?

Other Easter Eggs I saw:

Tusk Love book in Gilmore's shop. Sprinkle the Ferret stuffed on a shelf in the shop. Several references to doors. A painting of cows and a Roc

Overall, I liked the show a lot. I was actually surprised at how "adult" it was. Scanlon going down on the chick took me by surprise.

I was weorried that the show would be too "immature", but man, I was wrong. In fact, it almost felt like it went a little too far in the other direction. The writers seemed to throw in a "frick" in places where it wasn't necessary, just to add an "edge".

Episodes 1&2 were new content, and not quite as good as episode 3 in my opinion. Once they hit the Briarwood arc, things were better.

I'm a super fan so I'll definitely watch it all, and re-watch as well.

It's more Ep 26. But yeah. Percy's backstory is that the Briarwoods (Silas the vampire and Delilah the Wizard) murdered his family, the royalty of Whitestone, and took control of their kingdom. Percy escaped.

In his seeking of vengeance he manifested a demon called Orthax that he made a pact with in order to get revenge. The demon pact is what allowed him the knowledge to invent gunpowder and the first gun in Exandria.

For anyone wanting to start watching the D&D stream, C1 E26 is a great place to start.

I'm disappointed that they replaced the Kraghammer arc with that, but I can see where TitMouse might have had issues animating both a beholder and an illithid feeding.

I really hope they find some way to include "let's be COWS!"

I like how they animated Pike's reaction to that, because that was Ashley's exact facial expression when it first came up in Campaign 2.

Slight spoilers for those who haven't watched the campaign: I REALLY hope they don't change the way they defeat her. Matt had to call a major audible when Marisha did what she did during that fight and he rolled a 1.

Hell yeah man! As much as I did not like Keylith as a character, that was a clutch move of epic proportions. ALmost as clutch as the "Cupcake Kobiyashi Maru"

FYI, the cast is doing a live stream watch party on Twitch next Tuesday.

When do the next episodes drop???

They all have a serious character flaw.

Percy's we've seen

Vex is physically weak, extremely protective of Trinket (her bear) and kind of a slut

Keylith is extremely insecure but is by far the most powerful of the group

Grog is flat out stupid (Travis rolled a 6 on Intelligence which basically means he can't read). At one point in the campaign, he is changed into an eagle and his intelligence INCREASES. He's also the runt of his tribe.

Vax is very protective of his sister. The twins both hate their father.

Pike is struggling with her faith...which is bad when you're a cleric.

We all know Scanlan is a womanizer, but he has a secret that, when he finds out about it, shakes him so much that he takes a leave of absence from the party later in the campaign.

Of course she follows that up with "YOLO GOLDFISH!"

To be fair, Marisha played Keylith that way because she was insecure about joining a group that had known each other for a long time. As she got more confident, so did the character.

3 every Friday.

I assume at some point Kashaw (Will Friedle) and Zahra (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) will appear. We can do without Lyra (Felicia Day) and Gern (Chris Hartwick).
