The first season was decent outside the Brokeback mountain zombie apocalypse edition episode which I fast forwarded through the majority of it

Maybe they watched severance and watched how to do a gay relationship without making it an overlong pointless episode

this board never seems to disappoint when it comes to hating on good shows

IMDB ratings have The Last of Us rated as a top 100 show of all time.

M/TV board cultists "woke", "ghey", "I’m looking forward to not watching this"

quote:

Maybe they watched severance

you mean the show rated exactly the same despite not getting targeted by trolls with 0 star reviews? haha

(this isn't a hate on severance, i'm waiting to binge S2)

was curious so I looked it up and I wasn't the only one that thought TLOU S1 was better than Severance S1.

looks like Severance S2 is gonna be really good though

Severance:

I thought it was a decent series when it first aired. I recently did a re-watch and I did enjoy it much more. My main issue remains the Joel and Ellie relationship was weak in the series. I never really felt like Pascal's Joel really grew to love this girl like in the game.

A second game, and a show in its second season?

They've remastered both games about 4 times at this point. They find a way to re-release a new version of the game every other year.

While there are absolutely some really solid and smart posters on here every now and then I’m reminded that lot here have the maturity of a 14 year old 4Chan poster. Sorry I don’t respect the person who said “dike love story” and calls people gay.

Pretty sure I grew out of that mentality in 9th grade

Funny how episodes 3 and 7 both have a stupid high number of 1 star ratings. And some here will say review bombing doesn’t exist

But the episode wasn’t even pointless it was a key part in Joel’s character growth. Similar to how Bill’s character was important in game Joel’s growth although it was just flipped on its head with Bill leaving a positive story instead of a cautionary tale

lol if not for all the review bombing TLOU would be above severance in rating. It has like 5% 1 star ratings compared to Severance under 1% 1 stars

I’ve never heard anybody say review bombing doesn’t exist.

I think Episode 3 was garbage from a narrative standpoint and was just an excuse to have a gay love story with a character that is barely on screen in game and get attaboy.

That being said it was a well done and acted episode of television and deserves its’ high marks on its own merits.

Episode 7 was filler basura with no redeeming value with actors that couldn’t carry a scene.

I mean we had a whole section of the game with Bill so it’s not like he was a hardly mentioned character. The main difference was that instead of seeing Bill as an angry bitter old man he was the complete opposite.
