Yeah it was. Absolutely fantastic. Well acted all around.

Can’t say I was expecting all of that in episode 2

I'm just starting episode 2, who is the other group of people with the girl? Why are they wanting to kill Joel?
Joel killed her dad in season 1. He was the Dr that was going to perform the procedure on Ellie

That was an awesome episode. But why did they only come back with 2 horses

Did you watch episode 1? The first 10 minutes of the episode was that group talking about killing Joel for revenge for what he did to the Fireflies.

Maybe Abby’s people took one on the way out?

Thanks, I figured I missed it because I wasn't paying attention. This episode is much better thank goodness

My wife says she’s no longer watching the show since Joel was the only character she liked. Haha

Yeah that was incredible

It’ll be interesting to see how they manage without Pascal since he has the gravitas to take up space in a show like this.
That said, I’ve loved Devers since Justified so I hope this springboards her into move stuff. She’s a great actress.

Welp, my desire to watch the show just went way down. Damn. Joel was such a good character.
That was a really good episode though. Was definitely not expecting Joel to bite it. Although I totally get it from Abby’s perspective and even respect it. I’d want to do the same if it were my family brutally murdered by Joel. But still. Damn.
I was expecting Tommy to die, not Joel.
I absolutely do not understand the zombies in the show though. How the frick did all of those zombies not only wake up, but also inherently know where to run to go toward the city? I assume they were somehow connected to the cordyceps shite in the pipes? But that doesn’t explain the one’s halfway up the mountain.
And also, how do they inherently know where to attack the outer wall? And how do they know to run into buildings? Or run upstairs and onto the roof?
I realize last episode with the stalker one showed us they were getting a little smarter, but frick.
I liked the siege on the city. But I’m not sure it’s a good strategy to throw drums of gasoline at zombies then light them on fire as they run straight into your wooden perimeter fence.
But I get that fire is a useful weapon against them.
The creators shoving curse words into Ellie’s mouth every five seconds is so overly tiring, it’s completely turning me off at this point. We get it. She cusses. She’s cool. Okay. Chill the frick out on it now.
Kaitlyn Dever was really good this episode. I hope she sticks around for a while.
Great episode.

The attack on Jackson was great, loved that they added that
Kinda thought Joel would last a few more eps

They were walking out. Maybe they slaughtered them for meat or hurt the other group. Or maybe they'll just go back up and get them

I never played the game but not sure where the series goes from here. That felt like a series finale episode

I figured Joel was done for after someone in another thread said we're going to be disappointed with this season if we were watching because of Joel. FTMF.
