I didn't mind the kiss and innuendo with Ellie. Hell, I would be surprised if she wasn't gay. I do think there are pacing issues and things can be tighter. If that is bitching than so be it.

My issue is the show being treated like LOST which had a thousand episodes which justified plenty of filler

This was the most boring episode of TV I may have ever watched.
I got so freaking tired of Ellie pulling the whole "no i'm not going with you I'm so tough!!" only to then go with the other chick. We had to watch that type of back-and-forth like 10 times during this one.
That one zombie popping out did scare the shite out of me, though.

I'll be honest, I have played both games and the DLC, and I didn't hate this episode.....HOWEVER, I think they could have sped up this backstory a bit.
My feeling is that most will look at this episode differently if the season wraps up in the way I anticipate.

Are people hate watching it yet? I've seen people say they've been disappointed in it and that it's not that good, but they're still sticking with it. Hell, I've been disappointed with it, and I even think it's a good show.
But it all goes back to my point that even the absolute slightest criticisms of the show are met with bullshite like "omg stop raging" and "MUH GAYS." It's completely disingenuous, at best, and a downright lie/intentional misinterpretation for the sake of mocking at worst.

Again, it's not about the cussing. I don't give a shite if they cuss. It's about how it's written and how it's acted that I have a problem with. It just doesn't feel or sound natural at all. It sounds like cussing for the sake of trying to be edgy. And it's noticeable, at least for me it is. You're good with it, and that's great...I'm glad. But it's almost distracting for me because it comes off as lazy to me.
We can agree to disagree about it. I'm fine with that.

Agreed. I enjoyed the episode but it did drag on quite a bit. Much like Carson's assessment, if we had another 2 episodes in this season probably be ok, but with only 9 episodes this was a lot of wasted time. I thought the acting was good, particularly the last segments. Again, the scenes and design are top notch.
For those who are getting their feathers ruffled about the cussing, lulz. Every person grows up differently with their experiences. I was saying stuff at a younger age than Ellie that would make her blush. Strange thing to get hung up on. Im just convinced some of you came into it wanting to hate this show and will look for any way to do so.

I am not at all, seriously. The E3 discussion thread was retarded, obviously. So much so that I abandoned it eventually. And I didn't partake in several episode threads because I fell behind like 2/3 weeks from going out of town.
But even in this thread, nobody at all is "raging" about anything, but here you are complaining about it and mocking people for doing it...along with your "MUH GAYS" (which, isn't that actually backwards if you're complaining about people not liking that?) comment when people are more or less simply asking about it and discussing it. Hell, I even said in my initial post that I could do without all the gay shite, although if it was in the game that at least makes sense as to why it's here. But I'm quite certain I'm lumped into your "MUH GAYS" bullshite anyway. Which is why it seems like any posts that aren't sunshine-pumping about the show are met with mockery and vitriol (not vitriol by you necessarily, just by your ilk).
We also have lots of gamers in here, as evidenced by the gamer thread being nonexistent. Which that could obviously create problems as well. But I digress.

Same here. During the five minute carousel scene I said to my wife “this is bad.” She was like I know an infected is about to pop out any moment. I said no this is bad television.
