But they did dumb Phil 2 down this season, he was technically competent and was working on solar cell technology in Tucson, don't know why he dropped it now.

Obviously friggin todd wanted to hoard the bacon for himself, but after all the bacon was gone I wonder if he would ever say anything about having electrcity to the others? I mean tha'ts a pretty big deal. Hot water, heated food, fans, etc etc etc would go a loooong way in improving thier quality of life. Be pretty crappy of him to keep it a secret.
And I'm curious why they showed us sudekis in the first episode (might have even been 2 episodes?) this season then not even a peep about him since.
Also, I wonder what the end game of the writers is for the show? When they first started pitching the show to networks, you have it imagine they had SOME loose idea of how they want the show to end. I wonder if they'll find another massive group of people already in a society and join up with them, maybe just start having babies and start life over, they all die and life is over, etc.

I agree show is losing steam. None of the extra characters are funny except for Todd, almost unintentionally.
I'm also curious, as it looks like grass is growing, as to why they haven't cultivated a garden? Maybe I missed out on that. Not that it's a big deal.

I don't understand why they don't have groups going mobile all over the country. The ideas would be endless. Best show was when they were traveling to the white house, ect. I don't understand why they always want to ground the show and go into inner bickering over trivial, many times, boy-girl things when we all know things would go down much differently under these circumstances.

Ugh. I legit want to watch Phil murder every single person on that show. I hate them all so much. I would Enjoy watching Phil Miller alone doing stupid shite...but I refuse to watch him take shite from a count like Melissa.

Exactly. Everybody in this thread is bitching about their food options and ways to survive. This isn't The Walking Dead, Survivor, or Castaway. The premise of the movie is in the title, or more fittingly "The Last People on Earth." Who the shite cares about how they're going to grow food. It's about Phil being one of the last people on Earth, and even though there's so few people to choose from, he can't seem to make these people like him. And it's hilarious.

Tonight's episode was great. I loved it. I was waiting for the group to turn on someone other than Tandy. This was the most I have laughed this season. The previews for next week look awesome too.

Agree, last night's episode was really solid.
IIRC, we got not one, but two "Boom, still got it"s from the Tandy man.
Phil and Todd trying to get the solar panels to work was pretty hilarious too.
I disagree with the guy above that said this though:
Sure, it's hilarious. But when your premise is that these are literally some of the last people on Earth, then you have to address certain things like survival, food, and whatnot. You just have to because that's sort of the point of the premise. Yes, it was funny when we saw Phil just driving around and shooting things with his gun, but that would get old real quick if that's all we saw.
Last night was a perfect example of this...we saw Black Phil (Bhil?) bitching about being in Malibu and there not being a lot of food or freshwater around there, and then that bitch Gail almost literally say "Who cares about that kind of shite...let's just drink and have fun because we're in fricking Malibu!!"
Now, I'm not saying the show needs to be all serious and deal with survival in a way that's not hilarious, but it's shown in the past that it's good at blending both really well, and I wish it would get back to that a bit. I mean, you can't live on canned goods from a single house for too long.

Yeah, last night was the best in awhile.
I absolutely hate Black Phil, but I think they did a very good job of addressing some of the issues people have with the premise and all that through him last night.
He's an a-hole, but this group of assholes kind of needs him.

Interested to see how they bring a baby into this. I mean logistically it's a nightmare- no medicine, no medical care, no real food, I mean it's not a good situation. I wonder if they brought this up to be a turning point for the group (what will black phil do?) and something unfortuante happens and she doens't have the baby.

We assume she is telling the truth about the baby, but that character is pretty awful.
