I just finished binging another round of The IT Crowd on Netflix, and it's still the funniest show I've ever seen. Don't remember if I've seen discussion of it here, but I'm sure there are other fans in the M/TV.

For other fans who were unaware, a pilot for a US version of The IT Crowd was made a year after the original show started. Strangely, Richard Ayoade reprised his role as Moss in the US pilot. Despite that, the pilot was awful. Here is it if you've never seen it:

The IT Crowd (US Pilot, 2007)

Here's a short scene comparison of the original to the US pilot:

And now I learn that NBC is making another attempt (the 3rd attempt) at a US version of The IT Crowd:

Graham Linehan confirms The IT Crowd is set for US remake

They're obviously looking for another success story like "The Office," but it ain't gonna happen.

I've never watched the US Pilot before. Watched about 10 minutes and it seems very familiar. Is it just the same as the British one with different actors?

Have you tried turning it off and then turning it back on again?

When they first cut to Moss as the bartender, I absolutely lost my shite. One of the hardest I've ever laughed in my life, and yeah, that's probably the funniest episode of any show I've seen.

Definitely in my top 5 GOAT comedies.

Been on my watchlist for a long time. I'm gonna finish up Schitt's Creek (good, but so far not living up to the hype that came from the people that recommended it to me) and watch either that or Trailer Park Boys next.

This show is absolutely amazing, if you like british humour.

Work Outing aka "I'm Disabled" is so brilliant!
