Solid movie! Clever writing with comedy that isn’t overbearing. Loved the storytelling aspect tying into being the movie itself.
I can’t think of a part of the movie I didn’t like. MAYBE a slow burn at the start that got going once things started to progress but that’s being picky trying to look for negatives. Each actor and actress played their roles to perfection in my opinion.
Colin Ferrells character had me laughing. Maybe most of it with the Irish accent and lines he had, but still killed it. Liked how he and his fighters got tied into the plot.
Hugh Grants storytelling was very funny!
Charlie Hunnam was a solid #2 man to MM. “frick RAY! This is becoming a bit of a pattern”
Maconaughey played the typical what seems like his true persona with a side of drug kingpin haha.
All in all, a good recommendation when wanting to see something a little different in the theaters. Guy Ritchie put out a good film.

I loved it. The line "we need to invest in parachutes for you" or something like that had the entire theater cracking up.

Guy hasn’t missed yet for me. I still love Rock n Rolla.

All of this. And the parachute line also had the entire theater laughing

Agree 100% with everything that you said. I went in hoping for a good Guy Ritchie movie and instead watched a great Guy Ritchie movie. Violent, funny not forced and done in the right places, and nice storytelling and twists.
A very enjoyable movie!

We saw it today, enjoyed very much. Had a nice pace about it and enjoyed the ease of the humor.

I just watched it and it was absolutely excellent. The plots and twists and turns made sense, a good amount of action, and Hunnam I thought stole the movie. I recommend for sure.
Farrell was good too and I thought it was random as hell how he was involved in the first place. Good amount of funny liners too without over-doing it.

Guy Ritchie crime, with an extraordinary cast no way this would be anything other than great

Watched it last night. I really enjoyed it. I actually could have sat through another 30-45 minutes of it.
Good characters and interesting story.
MM’s wife was sexy as hell.

quote:Agree but Kate Beckinsale was originally cast and dropped just 2 weeks before shooting. Have to admit, was a little disappointed when I read that.
MM’s wife was sexy as hell.
All that said......saw it last weekend. Thought it was great. Date night with the wife and she wasn't particularly excited about the movie selection but she ended up loving it as well.
Surprised no one has mentioned Colin Farrell's performance. For the small part he had, I thought he really phucking stood out.

Went and saw this last night and loved it. Farrell was easily my favorite character but Hugh Grant was just as good.

Finally got around to watching this. I'm a big Ritchie fan, and it lived up to his name. Everything you'd expect out of his movies: violence, gangsters, eclectic characters, quick-witted humor, plot twists, and excellent soundtrack. This one will definitely go in rotation of frequent rewatches with LS&2SB and Snatch.
