I really liked it. Ray Kroc was ruthless. The McDonald brothers didn't stand a chance.

I enjoyed it. I never knew the OG McDonald's had so many options.

I liked it too. Kroc was definitely a dick. Yet somehow I kept pulling for the guy.

This. I never really found myself really hating the guy. I feel like the McDonald Brothers just sitting back doing nothing but running their 1 store would have been better for them.

Don't bring your hot wife to a business meeting with a super-alpha.

Mark Knopfler wrote a great song about him.

That's a great song , it's one of my go-to albums. I had never seen that though , so thanks.

As for the film, I watched it on a plane in June and haven't been able to get it out of my head. It was really, really well done . I want to watch it with my three teen kids.

Good luck. They'll probably just sit there and roll their eyes while hating the sound of your voice.

You can always tell who has a shitty little life by random left field comments like that. It just screams unhappiness and despair.

Damn, I was just making a comment on the fact that you have teens. No need to get all twatty about it.

What's crazy is that he struggled for a huge majority of his career. Until he found his idea and he flourished off of it.

Some people think a good wife can complete a man.

Disagree. A good idea with a good attitude can and will take him further than anything else

Ray Kroc was a dick. Stole his business partners wife. Couldn't do it on his own so he bought or took others ideas.

Good movie though.

I feel like the McDonald brothers could have really gotten out ahead of what would eventually blow up on them if they paid more attention. The movie made it seem like they were really too hands-off with Kroc.

When Kroc died in 1984 at the age of 82 his personal fortune was estimated at $500 million.

When Richard McDonald died in 1998 having outlived his brother he left a will of just $1.8 million - and spent his final days in a humble three-bedroom suburban home.

Wow...

Actual real life nephew Ronald McDonald...

'We weren't as rapacious or as greedy. Ray Kroc just wanted more and more.

'Name me one other American corporation where an employee became the founder.'

Ray Croc once said of his business rivals: 'If any of my competitors were drowning, I'd stick a hose in their mouth and turn on the water'.
