Hard to believe the success story that has been this show. It started out in 2018 as a crowd-funding project and has since morphed into a streaming sensation with over 200 million unique viewers and 770 million episode views. The show is also the most-translated/dubbed in the world, with 50 different languages available for dubbing/subtitles.

For those of you who aren't aware of the show it is the first multi-season series about the life of Christ ever produced and is available for free viewing on The Chosen app as well as other streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. The fifth season of the series is dedicated to Holy Week with the season finale supposed to stop at Jesus's arrest. The sixth season will cover the events of Good Friday while the seventh and final season will chronicle the Resurrection narrative.

Dallas Jenkins, the show's director/producer, has expressed interest in developing a series which adapts the Acts of the Apostles once The Chosen has completed its run.

This could be interesting.

As does this.

I mean... it all does, but these in particular.

Also... I wonder why they split from Angel studios... not that I care, I saw this entire season at the theater, but just curious.

Thank God they went with a table that makes sense.

I think I'd almost be more interested in that than I am in the gospel stories.

We recently started watching this, and the best part about the show is how they humanize Jesus. The actor does an incredible job. I've been very impressed with it halfway through S2.

Glad it's avaliable with Prime. Their app was rough to navigate on my TV.

Love the show.

We just watched season 4, and in one of the other threads on this from the past I mentioned the same thing. They have taken great care to not stray far from the Gospels, but yet give you background stories that could very well have happened. The acting really is superb as well. This series is well done.

The first episode with the possessed lady…. You’re just sitting there thinking, where is Jesus. I thought this show was about Jesus. Then with 5 seconds left in the show “Boom. I’m here”

It is about Jesus but it's told from the perspective of His followers, hence the show's title.
