So what did the title of the last episode mean: Pallindrome?
"Old" Lou walks with a limp, so I kept waiting on young Lou to get shot. But his wife later made a crack about him complaining about his sciatica.

That scene with the wife seeing into the future was straight out of Raising Arizona.

Overall I thought this season was pretty well done. Mike Milligan especially was very good.
I am still not sure about the UFO tho, I haven't been able to figure out what exactly they were going for with it.
With all of the references to S1, it would have made sense if at some point in S1 one of the characters referenced some strange event happening but I don't recall anyone ever saying anything.

Was there ever an explanation for all of the fish falling out of the sky in Season 1? I can't remember, but the alien bit in Season 2 kind of reminded me of that being thrown in Season 1

Could the aliens appearances have something to do with Hank's new language.
I think Hank was holding back something when Betsy asked him about his office.

Season one Molly talks about Lou getting shot during a traffic stop.

I do too, and I think it's related to the UFO's.

Malvo hired a bunch of medieval actors to launch them out of catapults

There was I think. I'm watching season one again and not to that point yet.
I think it was a tornado sucked them up or something.

That War Pigs intro was fricking awesome. I've gone back and watched it several times

Season 2 of Fargo was must see television. Loved it from start to finish. Noah Hawley is a stud.

Yeah, I was jamming out to the beginning and thinking how great of a show to get that in there. The episode was good, I thought a little too slow paced, but now that I've read this thread the episode is elevated to great. I didn't catch the Tripoli connection, the kids at the playground, or the maid crack so that's 3 great tie ins I would've missed. Thanks, Tigerdroppings
As mentioned, the aliens thing could have been left out and the commercial interruptions are as bad as AMC. Those 2 channels should be fined for that kind of bullshite.

Just finally watched the finale and it was sort of a letdown after last week. Felt more like a epilogue really. Mike I felt got a fate worse than death with a 5x8 office job playing golf with white folk. Had that "What have I done?"look. Lou's dry "People are dead" line after Peggy's women's rights rant was hilarious.

I just finished season two. A few thoughts:
The UFO stuff and the Reagan stuff earlier both fell flat for me. I'm not sure that either did anything other than establish the time period. Especially Bear essentially dying because he got distracted by the UFO. Ok I get it, it's a weird and random world. But not that weird and random.
Hanzee was definitely Otto's kid with the cook. They called him half-breed throughout. Plus the Gerharts weren't the humanitarian type and he was treated exclusively as near-family. Of course they all hated each other to a degree (besides Mom) so that's no good thing.
Peggy Blumquist and her boss wre disturbingly like my mother was at the time. Pop culture arm chair psychologists who annoyed the hell out of anybody within earshot with feminist actualization bullshite.
Todd-Ed has quite the career going.
Bokeem Woodbine was awesome. He should have had more screen time. I hope we see him in season three.
All the scenes with the Solversons were great. I was so relieved the babysitter didn't get it. I thought she would. And anytime we see a gas station owner/employee in a Coen -vehicle, we know a bad end is coming soon.
I thought season one was better. Hopefully season three is better than both.
