There's only 2 episodes left, and the show hasn't been renewed for a second season. If they waste Parallax on two episodes of a one-season series, that would be even worse than what they've already given us here.

is there any scenario where there would be an ending you are happy with? Seems like each week your opinion is "It was an ok episode" then go on to only complain about every single thing in the episode.

At this point, John Stewart being Green Lantern and Hal Jordan remaining dead is the most we should hope for. Introducing Parallax at this point would be like forming the entire Justice League before they've each had a feature film. We've already seen how those sorts of mistakes work out, yet here we are in a thread with people hoping for them to do it again.
ETA: I guess the other option is that they make Parallax a lower level threat than a Justice League-level villain. That seems like a waste for a character that was introduced specifically to end the entire DC comics universe for a lore reset, but they can do whatever they want I guess.

I only started watching the show because it was supposed to be about Green Lantern, but it's not a good Green Lantern show. If I had known it wasn't going to be a Green Lantern show, I would have never bothered.
None of that means it's not a good show. It's just not what was advertised. I doubt I would watch a second season until I was sure it was actually going to be a Green Lantern story.

I don't know who Parallax is so can't speak to that but what would be wrong with Hal not being dead? He's the best character on the show, I'd prefer for him to continue.

It's definitely better than any other movie that has been about actual Green Lantern. Which isn't really saying much though. But I like an origin story and less James Gunn type stuff the better imo. Lanterns and Penguin >>> James Gunn comedy stuff.

Agree with the GL part, it does nothing but diminish every single canonical character they’ve used in the show. As far as it being a show on its own, it fails there too. The story constantly contradicts itself and just blows past logic that would hold the narrative together. None of it makes any sense narratively or mechanically.

Parallax was the villainous persona of Hal which he sacrificed himself to save the universe from. He ended up getting reborn as heroic and Parallax was retconned into a fear entity and galatic level threat. Depending on how long John keeps the Hal Jordan construct alive/active/whatever, they could really be stretching the metrics they set up and defined in their own show since it's only supposed to be at 5% already. I guess it's possible Hal's battery is still somehow on earth too though.
Also, in the comics the rings are supposed to be powered by the Guardians' essence, so just the fact that John used one should mean that they know he has the ring and are allowing him to use it.

Well we know they don’t just not care about canon but Gunn has said he hates it so again they’re writing around the characters. They just use these popular IPs as skin suits to push their crap.

I read TD forums daily but haven't posted in a long time.
This show is just so odd that I had to log back in.
My wife and I are really confused as to why Hal Jordan would go to Federal Prison.
For what?
I mean yes there was collateral damage but he exposed and helped eliminate an Alien threat.
I understand why the town that prospered under the Man Hunter would be upset, but Federal Prison for 10 years?
There's been several instances where characters reflect on something Hal Jordan did and say to the effect of "Yea what a piece of shite he is" or "He's out of control". And I'm left wondering, was there a scene I missed?
Sure things get messy but he's still acting in the best interest of Earth overall. Maybe he has some personal feelings mixed in too but he's basically doing the job he was hired to do.
But people act like he's being a rogue GL?? Just really odd.
If the show had bothered to say Hal Jordan went to jail for other shite done off screen in the past that pissed off the Federal Government like intervening in U.S. Foreign Affairs or something, it would at least make a bit more sense.
But instead the show implied that the Man Hunter incident is what got him sent there.
I tried to watch Supergirl streaming. I'm usually the type that if I start a show or movie and I'm not digging it, I still finish it to see how it ends.
But I just couldn't with Supergirl, the main character was just too off puttting.
Also the reason that one family getting wiped out in the start is because the brother did a jump scare.... it's so dumb.
