The darkness guns don't make sense. He's not Superman. He doesn't need the sun for his powers to work. If a Green Lantern ring was affected by darkness, flying through space would be quite difficult.

The rings make constructs out of "solid light". The "darkness" wasn't just an absence of light, it was interfering with the constructs too. It was more like a smoke cannon in presentation.
Oh, and space isn't really dark, it's more just a black backdrop instead of a blue sky.

There’s so many stupid statements in this show and there’s only been 4 episodes. This is DCs Acolyte, it’s being defended because you know why but in a few months everyone is going to rip it to shreds once the locusts leave.

That's silly. The Acolyte was a laughably bad show. Lanterns is very solid so far. Yes, episode 3 deserves criticism, but the rest of the season is light years better than the Acolyte. C'mon man lol
