I remember sitting in that theater, watching it for the first time, as if it were yesterday. The cinema was packed and everyone was reacting to all the highs and lows. I'll never forget the nervous laughter of the crowd when the Joker did his pencil trick, nor will I forget the oohs and ahhs caused by the truck flipping scene.

Hard to believe that after all of the comic book films that have come after it, The Dark Knight still remains the measure for how they are all judged. Truly a generational film.

It was an interesting attempt, but I still have hope that one day Hollywood will get Batman right.

The character may or may not have been done correctly (I wouldn't know, I don't read comics), but the film was nothing short of amazing.

If we can bring back Heath Ledger and trade him for worthless Oprah, I would be a happy man.

Before the movie came out, I saw photos of the joker in the nurse outfit was a Photoshop job. It looked so ridiculous. That scene turned out to be fantastic though.

We drove to Dallas opening weekend to watch it in IMAX since Shreveport didn't have one yet. Totally worth it.

Damn Ledger was so good as The Joker. It’s all I could think watching it that first time.

That is an experience that stood out. Midnight showing when Ledger did the pencil trick the theater erupted in cheers and applause.
