They could promote themselves but that would take a lot of time and negotiating instead of them just being heroes and making money off of it.

Right. Vought pampers them and makes them an assload of money. They don't have to do any of the mundane behind the scenes work that makes them so successful.

Yeah you are right. Just seems Homelander could take over Vaught himself and they would work for him instead of vice versa, still covering up stuff.

He wouldnt have to run it day to day, but he could do whatever he wanted.

This. Vaught probably has a legion of lawyers to keep insurance claims, wrongful death suits, etc tied up in courts for decades. A hero going solo could quickly and easily be bankrupted by one unfortunate incident.

Yeah but Homelander has the ole Captain America/Superman thing going on so he's not going to ruin his image or try not to

Homelander is awesome. I thought for a minute he killed his kid simply because in this show it is possible ??

I don't know any character that has ever put me on edge like Homelander. When he is on screen I know anything is possible and in fact, I assume the worst is about to happen.

Has it been hinted that Homelqnder has any weaknesses?

Stillwell said there aren't any, but she was a liar.

You would think there would have to be. Otherwise, Vought would essentially be at his mercy if he ever got tired of them controlling him.

Stormfront threw me for a loop. At first, I thought she was gonna be a hero who was born on the wrong side of the tracks, but had a heart of gold. Boy, I whiffed on that one

I'm kinda glad they're staggering the episodes after giving us a 3-episode fix, otherwise I'd be finished with the whole season by now, and I'd be now complaining about having to wait a year for more eps, lol...

He effectively does. He could tear it all down at a moment’s notice, but why would he? He has no incentive to. He has no interest in running a company, you think conquering a planet would be in his interest? Plus they do age.

i don’t hate this way of distributing the entire season but you’ll just be saying the same thing 2 weeks from now anyway lol

Does anybody know why Homelander and the other Supers even take others from Vaught? I mean Homelander seems nigh invulnerable himself so Im guessing the black ceo has powers he isnt showing??

Had this discussion with the SO. We figured if Vaught created V there is almost certainly an antidote to it or something along those lines. I can’t imagine the company letting them have that much power without some kind of “killswitch”.

i always assumed its was just through Vaught/Stillwell figuring out ways to manipulate Homelander, cause none of other 7 are gonna cross lines with him.

now that she's out of the picture, its only a matter of time before Homelander goes completely rogue.

I can certainly see Stormfront going up against him

Homelander is easily the best character on the show. Lucas Hood FTW, check out Banshee to those who haven’t seen it. Like someone else said, you almost have to expect anything and everything while he is on screen. For sure thought he killed his son. The biggest wtf moment was the head explosion though Also, give Black Noir more screen time. And I already hate Stormfront. She’s like a millennial super villain from Portland.
