Has this been discussed yet?

What do you think? This board has been dry-humping this topic for months.

Usually I'd be a hard pass on something like this but they were smart to put Burton Guster in there. That's gonna make me take a look out of respect if nothing else.

Who’s excited to see another story of a black family in a racist southern town in the 1960s? This is EXACTLY what we need right now.

It definitely isn't black people.

The only people who will watch it are people who loved "The Wonder Years" and want to give it a chance and white liberals

Sorry, I'm behind in my racism TV viewing. Are there other such shows in this time setting ?

They can do a white version of the Cosby show starring Kevin spacey.

, who's the target audience? The younger black audience don't generally watch network TV. Nor does the younger white woke group. Most white conservatives of any age aren't going to watch this for sure. So I guess that leaves the older black crowd. So this thing will get minimal ratings and be on for a year or so and then we'll here how racist everyone is that didn't watch it. Yay.....

It may just be a show about a black family, like Cosby or Everybody Hates Chris, doing typical middle class shite. I probably won't watch it, because most network shows are written at idiot level, but I'll withhold judgment until I actually see it.

The article just says it will take place in Montgomery, Ala., which the OP maliciously maligns as a "racist southern town."

Let me see. Black family. 1960. Alabama. Are you good at puzzles? What about thinking logically?
