Op needs to put a spoiler in the thread title. I like the show but am often confused. Maybe someone can explain it all to me. Flynn had the data in her brain and I guess she needed to die to prevent the jackpot. Someone fill me in what I'm missing.

Will this show be given a second season?

Spoilers **************
The fact that she is dead in the “original” timeline (I’m not convinced it’s the actual original timeline we are seeing in the future) proves that a split occurred before that happened, before the war her brother was in, before their team haptics were implanted.
So in this new stub events were altered, and she never died.
*********
End spoilers

Does anyone else feel like this show started strong and ended.. pretty weak?
Maybe it’s because I binged the first 5ish episodes but the last couple of episodes (and particularly the finale) seemed off. Part of me thinks they needed another 1-2 episodes to really make it work. Another part of me thinks that the writing/directing just wasn’t very good.
I’ll definitely watch season 2 assuming it gets made, just found myself a bit disappointed at the end.

***Spoiler***
Ok... So she kinda went into gaming jargon to explain it and I was semi-able to keep up.
So let's call them (timeline 1) and (timeline 2)
1 = future played out fully
2 = stub with our main characters
Flynne from 2 has the data that controls the world of 1.
World 1 has the ability to create multiple timelines.. these are established
What Flynne did at the end was this:
1) Tell Wilf to kill her once she emerges from the peripheral (possibly even under the control of the Detective, so it looks like the Detective came up with the brilliant idea)
2) Seek out and create a new stub (timeline) - transfer her data to this versions Flynne - this basically created a "check point" in this new stub (timeline 3) with all the information from 1 & 2
3) Destroy the coordinates to the stub so you are just another timeline out in the wind + you now take all of the data of the world away
4) Return to your world and die, meaning there is now no reason to blow up the missile silo
5) Return back to the future to kill the bitch trying to kill you, but this time she has no clue where you are coming from + find a way to extract the data from your DNA

Maybe I'm too old for this show. I liked it but have no clue what I watched. I guess it went over my simple mind.
See I can't even work the quote feature properly.

Yes. 6 and 7 felt like filler, then 8 just introduced too much without fleshing it out.

Seemed slow early but held my attention. Ramping up the final few episodes. Hopefully it will return

I like it but yeah seemed to kinda wrap up too quick and abruptly and in an awkward way.

You’re posting spoilers from a finale you haven’t seen?

Felt like a show that people that play a lot of video games would enjoy. Not my cup of tea.

******* spoilers
Yeah I didn’t realize the finale was out yet. Thought we were talking about prior episode.
Just watched it. So she created a stub, which created a new version of her and her world that we didn’t actually see. Then she had herself killed so the future cannot access the info in her brain.
Now she and everyone is in a new stub, that others cannot access because she destroyed that device. She is safe for now with the info in her head. Her death looked like a hit so everyone in the future thinks the problem is solved. That was the new stub version in the peripheral we saw at the very end.
***** end spoilers

I’ve watched 3 episodes so far and it’s surprisingly good.

SPOILER
The Flynne in the final scenes (informed-Flynne, mark 2) was NOT the same Flynne that Conner shot (mark 1). That informed-Flynne (mark 1) sacrificed herself in one timeline so that the Klepts would not know that the “other” (mark 2) timeline existed, and it could continue resisting the Klepts without their knowledge.
That is my take, anyway.
