It holds up really well. Enjoyed it more with a second viewing.

just logged into HBOMax on my work laptop just to watch the batmobile intro. man... its so good. not as good as the theater with the loud engine/exhaust rocking your spine from all directions, but it's still good. pair that with the batman theme (mainly the horn section of the orchestra).

Exactly what I wanted from a Batman movie. Looking forward to a rewatch this weekend.

The Batman was the first movie I have seen in a theatre since American Sniper, and it was awesome on the big screen. I used to go to movies 3-4 times a month, I need to start going back every now and then. This movie might have done the trick.

I watched some of it on my phone during my lunch break today

people that would rather watch specific movies at home than at the theater, i believe, are sociopaths. no one can tell me they get the same experience from sitting on the coach looking at a walmart Onn LED TV with stereo audio like they do at a Dolby/IMAX theater. i almost would rather you people not watch it all because you're not going to get the full experience of this movie sitting on the couch. and then you all are going to come here telling us how "shitty" it is/was.

am i going to go to the theater to watch The Lost City, Dog, Ambulance, Umma, X, etc. ? no.

am i going to go to the theater to watch Batman, Avengers, Spider-Man, Fantastic Beasts, Doctor Stranger, etc.? yes, because they were made for a theater experience.

“Many Saints of Newark” was hyped thru the roof. I made a huge mistake going to see it at the theater.

imagine that. a movie based on an HBO original series not having a good theater experience. some movies aren't just meant for theaters. however, The Batman is definitely worth it.

Maybe one day they'll invent technology that can get you that REAL theater experience. I can see a sound/light setup that will mimic people on white hot cell phones. They should simulate people walking in front of you 15 minutes after the start. Maybe huddling in the aisle talking at full volume while trying to find a seat. Or slurping on juju beans. Something to thump the back of your seats. Maybe pipe in some know it all who wont' shut the frick up out of the left rear channel.

That'd be heaven.

Yeah because that happens at every showing for every movie at every theater.

Just finished the film. Really good film-noir type film. "The Batman" character could be substituted for any 1940's type private-dick...

Love the narration. Had a Sin-City feel except one long story in color.

This movie sucks arse. DC just loves to make everything so fricking dark that you can barely see what is happening in some scenes. The music is lame. The villains are corny. Just another crap movie from DC. I guess if you wanted some neo noir batman then this movie is for you. But it comes off as dull, pretentious, and not fun.

What style did you expect for a Batman film?

Adam West style?
Joel Schumacher?

I am about 3/4 of the way through this. It's pretty good. I mainly came in here to say that Zoe Kravitz looks amazing in this movie.

There have been plenty of fun batman movies. This one just wasn't my cup of tea.
