Just remembered this movie. I really want to watch it again.

Is McConaughey as Denton Van Zant not one of the most bad arse movie characters of all time?

This movie was darn near a flop at the BO. I thought it was a pretty decent movie at the time. I also think it has gotten more popular over the years because of Bale.

Yes. Plus he looked totally awesome. (no homo)

Made 82 million (against 60 million budget). Certainly not a flop.

I fricking LOVED this movie. Actually saw it in theaters. I sometimes post about it in the "movies you like but people haven't seen" threads because most people I know have never even heard of it, let alone seen it.

I thought it was great though. Definitely a fairly realistic-feeling movie about something supernatural (dragons). I can understand some hate on it because of minimal dragon screen time, and I guess people could say it drags here and there, but I was into it the whole time. It won't win Oscars, but it's a pretty fun movie.

My only gripe with it is that it's so dark. As in literally. Sometimes it's hard to follow things because the screen is so dark.

Magic hour.

Well I didn't say it was a flop. I saw it at the theaters also and remebering it coming and going pretty quick.

I agree. Espescially when the dragon is attacking. There is only one or two pulled away shots that give you some good perspective on the dragons.

I kind of like this aspect. I like how they wait a while before they show you the dragon. Kind of builds up suspense.

I'm still pissed at you for not only hating on it, but questioning me when I said it was awesome.

I'm still pissed you didn't believe me that Lionheart is a dragon movie. According to your movie poster.

RoF has grown on me lately. When I first saw it I just thought it was plain silly. I watched it again the other night and found it better than I remembered. Still silly, but better. McConaughey, as it turns out, is actually really good in it. Dude is super intense throughout. Really good job on his part.
