Pretty solid movie imo and didn't find it boring one bit. It's slow, but I love movies where you have someone hiding out and everyone around could be an enemy. I can see how many people felt it was too slow/boring.

Surprisingly good based on previous reviews I've read. Clooney is a great actor.

Great film imo. Most people on this board will not like it because it didn't have enough action.

Wasn't a big fan. Liked the whole assembling the sniper rifle scene It might be one of those movies I need to see twice to appreciate it more.

that's because the trailer made it out to be an action film.

Excellent movie. A lot of depth to the character development.

Believe me, I don't need action for a movie to entertain me. I really enjoy a good narrative and character development. However, I found The American to sort of empty when all was said and done. The performances were fine, but in many ways we've seen it all before.

One of the best films of 2010, imo. Clooney was fantastic.

A lot of critics enjoyed it, but only 37% of moviegoers liked it according to rottentomatoes. The trailer, I guess, was misleading, but I was told beforehand what its style was so I walked in knowing what to expect.

It isn't just people on this board....many critics didn't like it either. I remember several 1 star reviews.

I enjoyed it a lot too. I never found it boring and was surprised at how quickly it passed for me considering how many reviews said it moved so slowly.
